The sheer hatred Amorim gets on here by a load of posters says more about the poster than it does about Amorim.
I was sad to see him go, not because he was doing a great job because he clearly was not but I'd hoped we had moved on from knee jerk decisions and then hiring a caretaker manager with very little experience.
But, here we are again and good luck to Carrick for the coming season.

Well, maybe it's just me. I thought the players reacted awkwardly to his enthusiasm in the training sessions.

He was our worst ever manager by far. Carrick has started tremendously and is a club legend. Support him.
Knee jerk (even though it would have been fully justified) would have been sacking him during the summer. Waiting to sack him until we did was the opposite of knee jerk

Well Carrick has done better in the premier league than Amorim ever will, so he's got some catching up to do already
Carrick is already a much better manager for United than Amorim so that’s kind of a meaningless point. I’d argue taking United from 6th to comfortable 3rd when posters here were arguing we had a championship squad is a bigger achievement than winning the league with Sporting but that’s just me.

He was shite for us. We'd all rather keep a manager rather than chopping and changing but feck me the only good thing he did was remove a couple of bad eggs. We were awful under him. Carrick might not be the answer either but amorim absolutely was not.
