Ruben Amorim. Fired for being crap. Full stop. Just another addition for Amol as he loves it

Conte is absolutely correct if those quotes are true. I never appreciate a coach coming to a new club and immediately dismissing his players, something Amorim did almost immediately. Your primary job is to get the best out of players you have, fool.

This is quite the overreaction, managers quickly evaluating players and deciding they aren't good enough happens all the time. Hojlund isn't a Premier League striker, there's no shame in that, but moving him on while we could get a decent offer for him was the right call.

Conte is not wrong. One can argue the point that Amorim should have been given more time, but his arrogance is what did him in. He refused to budge off his ideology even while it was as clear as can be that his ideology wasn't working. The team performance against Spurs in the EL cup final was the knife in his own back, Brutus stabbing himself instead of Julius.
Thats a very special interpretation given that we don't know for sure whether Amorim really wanted to push Hojlund out. Plus we've all seen Hojlund being fully occupied in having physical battles during games but less involved in attacks. No question about Manchester United and the Premier League being a very challenging environment, so one could also conclude that Contes comments are mostly selfserving since Hojlund faring better in a more functional team in a less challenging league maybe isn't as much about him as a coach as he wants to believe it is.

He coached Hojlund now. So he talked to him and know the inside story. Maybe not about Amorim, but he sure as hell know what's wrong with his United career. It's actually his job to find that out.

I dont know how you can say he didnt knew what he's talking about

With respect.

Get to feck Amorin, and when you get where are going, get to feck again.

Useless shit,.

Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Said about two months ago if we sack him, we had a good chance of CL football. Hope I am right.

I can't believe you had people thinking we were 5th because of Amorim rather than in spite of him and that losing to ten men Everton was acceptable or the best we could hope for.

I can't believe you had people thinking losing to ten men Everton was acceptable or the best we could hope for.
You had people saying Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace have better players than us.

I wonder if Amorim FC is slowly falling apart.

Should stay unemployed.

The players didn’t give up, they didn’t throw him under the bus.

His system was crap, his tactics were crap. He’s got no tactical acumen. He had no motivation. Surprise surprise slagging off the players week after week didn’t help.

I don't believe those quotes from Conte are true. That twitter account is of the most useless ones out there who make up stuff all the time. Don't know how they got such a big following.

Back to topic, Amorim should have been fired the day he decided Bruno was a CM. Wasted 18 months on one of the most awful managers we've ever had. Never have I been more glad to see the back of a manager.

I'm sorry but if you backed this guy at the end and still back him now, you completely forgot what this club is supposed to be about. It's that simple.

Look at the way Casemiro celebrated with Carrick for Mounts goal, no way they do that with Ruben and how happy they are he’s gonrv

Absolute snake oil salesman! Can't believe there are still some United fans under his spell.

Besides the fact he wasn’t very good, this cnut’s ego and his reluctance to change from something that clearly wasn’t working should define the rest of his career not just with us. He should never come anywhere close to a top job ever again.

Easily the worst ‘manager’ we’ve had in a long, long time.

He'll go down in history as our de Boer.

This thread is pathetic. He's gone. Move on with class. Absolute shambles this.

I don't have too many feelings over this but I do hope we stop this notion that some fans have where they have to stick by a manager by any means.

Managers come and go, if they're not up to it, get rid and move on.

I can't. What he did for 18 months, including the Europe cup final, is bordering on sheer negligence. It's hard to forget.

I expect massive overreaction on here today because you lot would never understand we play good in 4231 now because Amorim taught us 5 at the back for a year, and we can now do it all.

At least no one is overreacting.

Criminal how between him and ETH, we wasted two and a half years trying to fit square pegs into round holes and suffering needlessly as a result.

Idiotic managers like him get away with a lot, man. feck knows if I'm Ratcliffe or Berrada, I would be in front of the cameras telling the world what an absolute criminal of a manager he is, and why another club should never hire him.

Why it is pathetic. Most of last week or more we had some diehards whining about it. I've got loads of abuse for the last year for calling for him to go. He was an awful manager who made the team the worst in history. Cost us millions from no CL and for what? Some rubbish about a system. A lot of people on this forum need to have a look at themselves.

Our squad is a million miles better than this guy had it looking.

To say any different is just absolute nonsense.

It has taken Carrick exactly 1 game to display a more dominant display than Amorim managed in over a year, and it was against a top side too.

And I'm not getting ahead of myself. I'm sure we'll have ups and downs over the next 6 months. But that display is simply an impossibility under Amorim.

It wasn't the players. It was the coach.

Not his fault though is it, mate? Your ire should be with the board if that's how you feel.
