Noone was saying that.Matchday thread was full of people saying 'well, at least it's much better than under Amorim!'. Couldn't make it up.
There were a few people saying it was the players and not the system

And yet some here continue to defend. The guy couldnt even win 2 games in one month what to talk about winning 2 games in a row. This image should be pinned at the top of every thread regarding Ruben Amorim.

Brighton rested or had unavalable at least 5 first teamers today (Verbruggen, Dunk, Hecke, Baleba, Mitoma)Except that today we had 5 players missing who played in October.

You can the spot ones who aren't Manchester United fans in this thread. Defending a manager with a 32% win rate who cared more about being right than winning football matches for the club. We could pick anyone to be the head coach, and he'd still be a better choice than Amorim.Lost 3-1 at home to Brighton last year too though, Amorim called them the worst United team in history.
And we got better since then obviously.Lost 3-1 at home to Brighton last year too though, Amorim called them the worst United team in history.
No need for thatYou can the spot ones who aren't Manchester United fans in this thread. Defending a manager with a 32% win rate who cared more about being right than winning football matches for the club. We could pick anyone to be the head coach, and he'd still be a better choice than Amorim.
Sorry, I keep forgetting absolutely nothin that happened last season counts when judging Amorim: my bad .Funny, because you're deliberately taking his comment out of context. When you have to change the season and the squad then you're not making a particularly good point...
How did we get better? And we got better since then obviously.
The results aren't much worse than it was under Amorim, and we don't have a manager that cares more about being right than winning anymore. So yes, it's much better.Honestly mate now is not the time for just plain WUMing
Yep, and now he's gone we can see the clear improvement. HurrayAnd yet some here continue to defend. The guy couldnt even win 2 games in one month what to talk about winning 2 games in a row.
Go look at the data, we were more stable team on an upward trajectory. How did we get better?
They 100% were saying that. I'm not gonna go through the thread and find them all. Do it yourself.Noone was saying that.

This just further proves they just have a better outfit/team than us. Imagine if we had players with some iq/intelligence in place of Dalot and Ugarte.Brighton rested or had unavalable at least 5 first teamers today (Verbruggen, Dunk, Hecke, Baleba, Mitoma)
Hecke and Mitoma played today, they came on as substitutes so they were neither rested nor unavalable?Brighton rested or had unavalable at least 5 first teamers today (Verbruggen, Dunk, Hecke, Baleba, Mitoma)
Now we're really rolling. It was clearly the back 3 and manager that was the problem.
I think we have looked better in patches but overall it’s still the same issues. We can’t defend, midfield isn’t very good and every single game is a struggle.
I don’t think we’ll be much worse or better off by sacking Amorim, basically every game is a struggle and it’s such fine margin because we can’t control any game or win by more than a goal.
If you defend a manager with a 32% win rate over 18 months and believe he should still be Manchester United manager, you simply don't want the best for the club as far as I'm concerned. No need for that
We had a few really bad games this season. Everton, Wolves at home and Grimsby. Of the home matches, none of them felt as flat and insipid as the second half here. The ground was practically silent.I think we have looked better in patches but overall it’s still the same issues. We can’t defend, midfield isn’t very good and every single game is a struggle.

I think that was clear.I reckon we’ve looked a lot worse since sacking him.
I think that was clear.
Nah. I think you should look to take EVEN more out of context, just so you can find another reason to whine.Sorry, I keep forgetting absolutely nothin that happened last season counts when judging Amorim: my bad .

Sideways and sidewaysso glad we got rid of ruben. onwards and upwards folks.
So 16 months is too soon to judge but we can make sweeping conclusions after 2 games. At least we lost to a decent PL team today and not a fourth tier side.Yep, and now he's gone we can see the clear improvement. Hurray
This is what happens when you constantly listen to knee jerk idiots. You end up with a wreck of a club.
And it's funny seeing the Amorim fanboys ignore the fact it's Darren Fletcher, just to support their agenda. Darren Fletcher.Did you really expect Darren Fletcher to undo the damage Amorim has done in only 1 week?
And yet some here continue to defend. The guy couldnt even win 2 games in one month what to talk about winning 2 games in a row.
And we got better since then obviously.
Uh huh. Sacking after 14 months is kneejerk, but expecting immediate improvement after 2 games isn't?Yep, and now he's gone we can see the clear improvement. Hurray

No-one said things would immediately improve once we got rid of Amorim (though its certainly no worse).Yep, and now he's gone we can see the clear improvement. Hurray

How isn't it worse? Did you see our OOP shape today?No-one said things would immediately improve once we got rid of Amorim (though its certainly no worse).
This season alone, it is 40%Is this percentage including last seasons? When United loaned out Rashford, Sancho and Antony? Despite the latter players not being good, name any club who would send all their first team wingers out and not bring in replacements?
I’m not arguing whether Amorim was the man for the job but this win percentage is nonsense and out of context. There are many things to criticise him for but the win percentage always makes me laugh.
