How do you see the expanded Super League panning out?
How will York, Bradford and Toulouse fair?
Can Hull KR enjoy anywhere near the level of success of 2025.
Will Wigan recover or Leeds, Leigh or Saints take a step up to take on the dominant 2?
What will Hull FC's excuse be this year @T00lsh3d

I was a bit annoyed by the vagary of the rules around the Super League places but I was pretty happy by how it worked out with York, Bradford and Toulouse coming up.

Also pleased to see Salford live to fight another day in the Championship without it all being dependant on vague promises about magic money. I hope they manage to get a bit of that phoenix club energy coming back, but I still fear for them.

Featherstone though, ouch. I thought they were permanent fixtures in amongst the top semi-pro teams really so their financial collapse took me by surprise. I don't know if they've got a route back or a chance of finding one, but I'm sad to see the club fail. If only because I know that at a community level they've done some good work running kids teams over the years.

The way they went about it was daft, I think they settled on the correct teams. I just don't see London being a viable rugby league city, there is very little appetitie outside of the M62 corrridor.

It was sad to see what happened at Salford. Hopefully, they will find some stability and rebuild.

I missed the news about Featherstone, I knew about them being a very community driven club what a shame.

feck knows mate, I’ll start paying attention after the six nations ;)

So I won’t see you at the bronco’s game, or in Vegas?

Imagine not having the record gate for a rugby league game at Hull City's stadium :smirk:
It’s a good few years since I’ve been to FC….think I’m getting free tickets through work though so will probably get down there this year.

FYI - Featherstone, sad for the club, spare a thought for local businesses as well. Plenty of them will have been left without payment by their financial mismanagement

Broncos will be tickled no doubt.

FYI @JinnerJamie Broncos are playing a closed doors warmup game vs FC at Hymers on Monday….and I believe I’ve got an invite. Will let you know if they look sharper than York

That's quite a result for York. Didn't see the game but I'm impressed - hell of a comeback.

Thanks man... heard they were going to teach you lot how to play some rugby. ;)
Not looking forward to it with Lewis likely out, we're gonna need to find a bit of magic from somewhere.

The only shining light for us was Jez, who looked a cut above, but some slaps need to be handed out. The game was there for us to probably put another couple of tries on, and Mikey let his inner dickhead out, and the game swung.

Damn didn’t watch the most of the 2nd half, superb result for York.

Nice to see KR lose early, Lewis being a moron as usual then?

Very much Lewis being a prat, it was a sloppy performance from us, but Lewis should carry the can for it. He will almost certainly miss the club world challenge next week because of it.

Lewis being a moron when he crosses the whiteline and a Liverpool fan seem to be his biggest faults not sure which is worse... other than that whenever I have bumped into him ususally in a pub he's nothing short of sound.

That’s what matters then, as long as not a knob off the pitch, plenty of Wigan players were back in the day.

Cracking game between Warrington and Saints tonight, and a brilliant introduction for Cai Taylor-Wray for Wires. A couple of tries (one for each side), chalked off by the video ref though, for infringements which last season wouldn't have been raked over.

Got to happy with that. Cas were well up for up for that, but Wigan stayed in the grind and capitalised on errors as much as anything.

Opening weekend results were an interesting mix. Pleased to see the newly promoted Toulouse and York get wins. Bradford lost of course but not looking depressingly out of place. Leeds and St Helens continuing their fallen giants thing.

Down in the Championship - Salford finally have a win. Which is a relief.

Just seen that KR have got Broncos on Thursday night…..then Warrington literally 24 hours later on the Friday night

Not a KR fan obviously but what kind of dog shit scheduling is that?!

Warrington match postponed - I've not seen the new date.

I'm not overly fussed about us losing to leigh as we had basically our B team out. We will go well when players are back.

I was wondering why the World Club Challenge match wasn’t built into the fixtures in the first place instead of having the requirement of postponing a game which must now be fitted in somewhere.

I heard Warrington’s first five games are now at home, partly because of this and partly due to the likelihood of the Challenge Cup game being switched to the Halliwell Jones.

Sending the B team to Vegas? Asking for a friend.

We had 9 first team starters out vs leigh but we've got most back for York this week.

I'd imagine their minutes will be managed then we should all been well...have our first team back for Vegas.

Rovers…..who just lost to York….are absolutely arsefecking the best of Australia

Super League have done really well in this game in recent years. Quite surprising, even if the NRL teams are in pre season.

SL are only 1 game into their season now a days as well, used be 3 or 4 not long ago.

One of games are great, a full season would be something different entirely I’m sure.

The Brisbane try. Looked like a bounce ball when he put it down.
Tbh there were at least questions marks over rovers first 2 tries….May knocked the ball on then toed it forward to be a kick but it wasn’t under control at all, then Minchellas grounding was questionable (though on replay it looked like he got it down).

Both were given immediately without review, when in Superleague you’d have seen them go to video

Put my glasses on and looked like the Brisbane try was fine.

Did not expect this at all. Can't stand Reece Walsh so I'll take it
