Feels a bit like anyone can beat anyone on any given day. Which is quite refreshing tbhJust seen the result, jeez this season has really started on its head...
16-34 too

Hopefully, it pans out like that for the rest of the season. Just not in the derby!Feels a bit like anyone can beat anyone on any given day. Which is quite refreshing tbh

Sounds like some game. I see FC managed to hold on for the points, but not before Catalans equalled the scores?Grandstand finish at Hull City's ground?
FC 22-0 at HT now 22-18 with 6mins to go...
Catalans 4 tries in 12 mins to make it a nervy finish.
Edged out to 24 - 18, Catalans added 2 back themselves.Sounds like some game. I see FC managed to hold on for the points, but not before Catalans equalled the scores?
I was surprised they disallowed the potential 10-10 it really did look like a too close to call.Another derby win for The Robins, into top 6 with a game in hand.
We got fortunate with Martins disallowed try which would brought it to 10-10 just after the break. I don’t think you’ll find many an honest rovers fan that would say there was clear daylight between hand ball.
Overall the better side, should’ve made the first half dominance count. Still loads of little errors that we need to eradicate.
Hull dug in but more and more injuries Asiata again. Seriously what’s with that club and broken players?
It was a bad decision from the VR. Hull just faded after that, and Asiata's injury in the same play just flattened them.I was surprised they disallowed the potential 10-10 it really did look like a too close to call.
Missed the Hull derby but on to this one. Saints hanging in well, but hard to see Wigan not ultimately taking advantage of all the Saints injuries, worsened after only a few minutes with the Paasi injury. Good watch so far though.Saints and Wigan up next

Or maybe not...It wasn't a classic derby.
Saints have given a good account of themselves, but I fully agree with Wigan taking the two points without much fuss.
Very happy to be wrong!Or maybe not...
Missed it through putting my tea on and sorting the dog out!Disgraceful last 10 mins from Wigan. Talk about throwing away 2pts and playing powder puff rugby.
Shocking.
Wish I had!Missed it through putting my tea on and sorting the dog out!
Yeah, it always felt like Wigan had more than enough to win the game until that last 15 minutes. Strange though how difficult it seems to be to combat a side once they gather the sort of momentum Saints had there. The lad Leyland was brilliant in that final part of the game too.Wish I had!
Saints did ok up to the 70min, then we just fell of a cliff. Nsemba injury didn’t help and Havard having an HIA but we should have seen it out comfortably.
Yeah they got on a roll and we just couldn’t stop them, 4 tries in 10mims though is very poor.Yeah, it always felt like Wigan had more than enough to win the game until that last 15 minutes. That was a good cup game, end to end, lots of mistakes, so good tries. Could have gone either way.
Yeah, seems to be a dodgy defensive period we go through every season, it’ll get sorted but not sure why it happens.I'm worried about our defence, we're too easy to score against at the moment and giving away stupid penalties left and right. Happy to get a win on the board in the end.
No doubt there’ll be a serious bounce back against the Wolves on Friday! We are in serious trouble. There are a few out for injuries/suspensions but it's not an excuse to put in such rancid displays against average opposition. Poor attack, poor defence, poor discipline, poor ball handling, boneheaded rugby. Absolute shite.
I highly doubt it, we’re playing really awful and with Harry Smith out for a few games we have no one putting in them pin point kicks. No doubt there’ll be a serious bounce back against the Wolves on Friday!
Maybe your optimism levels will rise when you hear that George Williams is out for an unspecified time period, as is prop James Harrison. I believe Jake Wardle could be back for Wigan, too.I highly doubt it, we’re playing really awful and with Harry Smith out for a few games we have no one putting in them pin point kicks.
Need the pack to seriously step up cause the backs don’t have much about them at the minute.
Balances it out some what, we are due a decent game at some point as well.Maybe your optimism levels will rise when you hear that George Williams is out for an unspecified time period, as is prop James Harrison. I believe Jake Wardle could be back for Wigan, too.
