Warrington did the same against Wigan a couple of seasons ago. Lost the league game narrowly with a lot of novices, but still ended up losing the final. You’d think the coaches would have worked out by now it’s a poor strategy.

Momentum is key in sports, I know not including tonight, Wigan had started to find their feet again and were outstanding vs Leeds. Two weeks could cause them to cool off. Here's hoping!

Yes, my sons told me he’ll be watching it in the office.

I’ve then reminded him that he works for me and I’m the boss so he can feck right off and watch it in his own time :lol:

Great first Origin game, especially if you are supporting NSW, who won it 22-20 with a try and conversion at the death after being 20-0 down halfway through the first half. Ponga getting sent off helped but Cleary was back to his brilliant best with field kicks, a try and conversions.

Missed the game but I’ll catch up on it later. Some turnaround from 20 points down!

I’ve watched the Origin series since the 90s and always supported NSW, probably due to Laurie Daley and Ricky Stuart.
 
Women's cup final underway. Wigan really need a tournament of their own though, they're playing a different - faster, slicker - game to St Helens.
 
Honestly, the air in Hull is so much fresher than normal today

Yeah, the disparity between the sides in a lot of the bigger women’s games is far too great. Didn’t the Aussies rack up a century against England or GB last year? Hard to see interest growing until that changes.

On balance, think video ref for second try right.. looked a bit soft and didn’t see Wigan player change angle or drop shoulder. He has right to run the line?

Honestly not sure about the Wigan neck tackle though (haven’t seen again), thought went to neck whereas other one deflected up to neck.

Minichella dived for the penalty, shows a poor mentality.

I think Smiths tackle deflected off the ball, just, as well, but need to see it again.

We should be further ahead, KR will be dangerous in the 2nd half but think we’ll do it.

I was just stirring the pot to be honest…no quibble with the decision on the try. The Smith one was a close call though.
