Yeah, I agree. Wouldn't be surprised if he's already destined to join Juve/Milan/Inter. But yes, he's the type of player we should be looking at.Too bad there are no more rumors about him. He's a fantastic player. And he would be the first name on the teamsheet whenever available, would be great for his further progress.
Fair postTonali is a very talented playmaker, but i think that he wouldn't help Manchester United to regain its shine.
He is at his first year in Serie A, he still needs more experience in his country.
For an italian boy it isn't easy to settle in a foreign country with a differnt kind of football: look at Kean, he looked promising but leaved Italy too early and now he is struggling at Everton.
Because VDB isn’t a ‘proper midfielder’ to me, and because he’s often the last player involved in a move, mat paper over the cracks. What we need most is a player who gets involved in actual ‘midfielding’ - tackling, circulating possession, helping defence l, helping forwards etc. Most of that stuff is typically happening 10/15 yards behind Donny van de Beek. Why's that? Not arguing, just curious as to the reasoning.
I disagree, I think he's a driven player who takes responsibility, in a footballing sense he's a big prospect too and will only improve. He'd improve us no doubt. But Tonali would plug a more gaping whole in our team for sure. Alas, VDB doesn't want a move in January and Tonali is off to a big club in Italy. We shouldn’t be targeting VDB at all in my opinion, I don’t think he’s all that, but if he were signed alongside a more conventional ‘midfielder’, I’d have less issue for sure.
