Hmm, if it's at a reasonable price, I dont mind it. But Bruno G is the one I really like from that team.

Like Cunha and Mbeumo he is younger than them unless you were speaking about Guimaraes then you are right we most probably won't be going for him .

Hope we stay away from both Tonali and Bruno G, there's a reason Newcastle are so poor this season, their midfield cannot dominate games at all.
Probably be a good signing. I dont think he's amazing, I dont think he's top tier but you'd expect him to settle fairly quickly and he's established enough that you know what your getting. I'd agree with Bruno Guimaraes being better but we dont really need him.

I like him and think he'd compliment them both very well. Really combative, all action midfielder who'd add some physicality to the team. But he's not the one we're being linked to here so it's all a bit moot.

I like him, super mobile with top end pace, good on the ball, but he should be consistently better than he is.

Why not? I think Mainoo has shown he can play as the deepest midfielder( atleast under ETH I recall him having good performances), Bruno G can be the typical box to box like player. Mainoo isn't really that kind of box to box player anyways.

At a club like United you don’t need not that bad. We need great defensive cover or thereabouts, from midfield.
It's also a monumentally stupid way of spending money - spending a feckload of money on a player who doesn't really fit in, with the logic it can't be that bad.
Almost reminds me of us signing Mason Mount.

Unless Bruno leaves and we switch to a different setup with a 3 man midfield I think he can be developed as the deep lying playmaking sort of midfielder.
I see him as a really good player, but I would be worried about his personality.
Just because Mainoo may be possibly be moulded into a deep lying playmaker (remains to he seen, doesn’t play there atm), he would still need a defensive powerhouse next to him. Or alternatively not a defensive powerhouse but someone like carrifk. Not Bruno ffs

I think Bruno G- Mainoo midfield works better than Tonali-Mainoo as I think Bruno G offers more physicality to the team. It's all a bit moot anyways as we haven't even been linked to Bruno G. Let's leave it at that.

Really like him. He has everything in a midfielder that we lack - he's very fast, strong, extremely mobile, a good passer of the ball and a proper box-to-box with a defensive nous to him. I'd love him at United, if the price is right.
We need a Caicedo-type midfielder in order to get the best out of Mainoo, imo.

Mainoo is an average passer, I don’t see him being the deepest midfielder personally.
