Can't take a good performance from him because it was against Fulham.

He was ever-present in our midfield and put in a strong performance. My MOTM and his injury helped Fulham to raise in the game. Agree that his body position when receiving the ball, passing lines and aversion to take a risk are more suited to CB than a CM.

Still can be a useful player to us, but not a guaranteed starter as we should look for improvement. Shame he's got off, hope it's not serious.

Would like to see him playing CB for us. Has done nastiness in him and loves the physical battles. He isn't brave enough or any good as a passer. He and Fred are probably the least capable passing midfielders in the top level game.

If we keep playing him next season, we won't have a chance at titles even if we sign Sancho and Kane in the same summer.

He tried to drive us on. He can hold his head up tonight.
Just came on to say this. So disappointed but he was brilliant tonight, only one who actually looked like trying to push us forward

Our best performer tonight by a distance, although that says as much about his team mates' performances as it does about Scott's. Fortunate assist for Cavani's goal. Did well to create space to get a left-foot shot in, that was blocked for a corner just prior to our goal. Several driving runs. A couple of shots from the edge of the area, one blocked, one wide. Unfortunate his long pass in extra time almost found Rashford. Some good defending from Scott in extra time and won an important tackle after Bailly's careless pass. Headed clear at least one corner. One rubbish cross out of play in the first half after a decent run. A couple of decent cross-field passes.

Magnificent performance. Best of his career so far. Leeds game was freakishly open, which suited him. Tonight he excelled at every aspect of the midfield game (except for, unusually, shooting) in a match where he didn’t have loads of space. Which was so much more impressive.

Ok in the first half but very good in the second, those driving runs were looking our most likely route to a goal.

He was class tonight, very much grew into the game, one of the very few with any bottle.

I don't rate him very much but McTominay showed balls tonight. Almost made up for ability as him fighting to get shots off was what led to our goal, and afterwards was the closest we looked like coming to a goal. Stood up more than pretty much anyone else in red tonight. Fair play.

That was an outrageous performance. He looked massive in that midfield battle and came out on top. He gets better every season.

Had a much better second half and tried to drive forward. Unfortunately it didn’t really lead to anything, because the quality isn’t really there. But he showed far more than most of our other players.

He was well up for it tonight, our best player on the night. Wish he did that more often .... but he doesnt.

I've been a critic, but he did brilliantly. There were several good performances out there. McTominay, Wan-Bissaka, Greenwood, Shaw, Cavani. The result is on Ole's shocking game management and favouritism for de Gea.

Well done McT. He can be proud of that performance. Rose above his limitations. He isn't first team quality but he'll always have a place in the squad for his drive and desire.

Put some respect on his name. If we had more of players with his passion, drive and ability to perform when it counts, we might actually win something some day.

Thought he started off poorly, but his head never drops and showed so much more in the second half.

I'd rather be in the the Championship watching eleven McT's than having to see Rashford, Pogba and DDG choke at any time their "world class" credentials are questioned.

If McTominay gets better at passing, especially long passes, he´d be a quality DM.

Great performance.
Set an example which, unfortunately, his team mates didn't follow.

Started a bit iffy, but grew into the game. Played very well overall. Probably our MotM.

Both he and Fred generally look better when they don't play together. It should be one or the other.
