Thought he was terrible today apart from the goal. Another player who for me demonstrates how far we have fallen, should be know where near the first team and would have been in previous years.

Agree with this. For me he is a classic 4-3-3 midfielder or a offensive midfielder in 4-2-3-1 which Pogba plays nowadays. Scotty is versatile, but I think he has to specialize himself towards one role in the midfield for the future to push for a more central spot in the team.. He is an honest hard working player with heart but without any standout abilities. A good squad player who loves the club though. Never underestimate that.Honestly I can hardly remember a single thing he did besides the goal, which isn't great considering how lack luster the attack was for a lot of the game he should have been shining in midfield winning the ball or passing it around.
He's certainly not a 6, and it's a detriment to him to be played there. He's really just an energetic 8 that can pop up with a few goals, similar to a less technical, more physical Herrera. We really need another true holding mid so that he isn't forced in there with our current squad, but I like Scott and still think he can be useful.
I think your right in the fact that Fred and McTominay in the double pivot are a good solid midfield pairing. Much tougher to get through than a Matic and Pogba combination, but not as productive/creative. I wouldn't have a problem with those two in the side, as long as two of Bruno/Pogba/VDB are in front of them, this would mean that we would have only two strikers up front. To me that would work as long as the two full backs were encouraged to get forward as much as possible. We saw when we didnt have Bruno yet that Mctomminay & Fred cant just play in midfield together in a double pivot and dictate the tempo of the game with their passing. It isnt good enough. Van De Beek is a CAM that plays football in deep positions rather than trying to open up gaps with clear passing.
What we did see was that when Bruno joined, the creative duties fell much more on the new signing and Mctomminay and Fred could play the double pivot to the balance of the team and focus on an energetic type of football that provides both a defensive game and a quick simple attacking one.
Remember when Lukaku leaked the speed test:I really want him to be tried as a Right back and see what he has to offer.
Lack of pace could be an issue but he is still faster than Dalot I guess.
don't players on that list usually get a long contract renewal with large wages? He looks bit lost at the moment, needs to be a rethink about what he is being asked to do or he’s going to find himself on deadwood list. Well taken goal and maybe that will give him something to build on because he’s been poor for a while now.
So much dubious data in that list. Lindelof faster than Bailly?!Remember when Lukaku leaked the speed test:
Fastest to Slowest (km/h)

He might very well be at top speed, but, in terms of acceleration, no. Being fast is great, but acceleration is more important for a football match. So much dubious data in that list. Lindelof faster than Bailly?!
If I recall correctly, Shaw revealed how he is instructed to not exert himself in this specific speed test, instructed by the coaches as a precaution for his fitness at that time.Remember when Lukaku leaked the speed test:

Say what you will about him but he has heart. Pogba is so infuriating when he is off his game it's crazy. With Scott u know what to expect.I don't rate McTominay at all, but at least if we play poorly we have an excuse with players of his standard in the team. He puts in the effort at least.
I remember reading a big Reddit thread, based on research from the author Jonathan Wilson, which basically concluded that speed stats are absolute trash. Can't find the thread from a Google search, but did manage to find a post talking about the thread, with a passage from the book:So much dubious data in that list. Lindelof faster than Bailly?!
