Was having one of his best games for a while before he came off. Growing in many areas of his game at the moment, although his passing is still not up to it.

We will need him to continue his offensive contribution though especially in the absence of Pogba. We can’t have two just screening the defence - we need something progressive from the actual midfield (the space behind Bruno) otherwise we’ll continue to be stifled and play out disappointing draws.

Hopefully this is a good platform to continue his growth. He already has the physical and mental qualities.

Would rather he was captain than Maguire if he isn't going to give it to Bruno which is should have happened already.

For all intents and purposes, Bruno is the captain regardless of who wears the armband.
Agreed. It's nice we seem to be developing leaders across the squad though. Bruno, Maguire, Scott and even the likes of Cavani and Rashford. You look back a few seasons and who were the leaders in the squad? Young, Smalling, Valencia, Fellaini etc... Big difference for me.

As much as I like him and enjoy seeing him on the pitch I’m just not convinced by him yet. He is certainly improving but I just find his positioning woeful at times. Works hard, scores goals, gets his foot in but I’m not convinced he is top level.

He has improved so much this season, he has that big game player feel about him, reminds of Fletcher, maybe there is something in the water in Scotland?

Great to see an academy lad doing so well, it’s a funny old game, he wouldn’t have been one of the kids you would have been excited about at youth level and yet he has made it while other young players you expected to have a big career have failed to make the grade.

Smalling was a decent leader, Valencia and Youmg as well. Fellaini was never viewed that way.

McTominay was born and raised in England, so nothing to do with Scotland.

You may as well flip a coin when he passes the ball.

No midfielder with that level of passing at 24 is gonna go on to become much.

That pass in the 90th minute was just straight up unforgivable, man.

Not enough quality on the ball throughout the game today. That last cross was criminal though, such an easy chance and he fecked it up.

The failed cross at the end sums up McTominay. He looked so far off the pace at times today I'm surprised he wasn't taken off (although not that surprised given our use of subs).

It is shocking when football player at this level has this level of technique. He should not start games for us. He is like Gibson was. Goal then and there and that is it

He really fecked the last chance, easy pass, just pass the ball ahead instead of squaring it and we would have had awesome chance.

People will notice only that situation at the end but he was horrific throughout this game. Did absolutely nothing defensively, just strolling around, when in possession, took ages to release the ball, only to pass 5 m next to him or lose possession. Provided zero going forward. There are games when you think there might be something in him but we really can't take our comeback to glory seriously if we build the team around player as average as him.

But like with DJ, he's a good lad and can't blame them, they are living their dreams and manager keeps playing them.

Way off the pace today. He always seems to take a while to get back in the groove after an injury.

Decent game. Shame he couldn’t make that cross at the end but understandably a bit short of legs after that long run and having been out injured.
