Sturgeon just seems like a woman who hates football and anyone enjoying themselves anyway. Gunning for football, when she herself hasn't been an angel in all of this iirc?

So Aberdeen and Celtic have their next two games postponed (fairly lucky that one of those 2 games is against each other). Boli Bolingoli went to Spain when they were specifically asked to stay in Glasgow, didn't bother telling anyone, played in the game and then told people he went to Spain.

What do people reckon will be the outcome for the players then? They've been charged and I read they could get a 2-8 game ban? Surely 8 players can't be banned for 2 games each? Aberdeen will be in trouble if that's the case.

maybe 2/3 for the Aberdeen players and 8 for the Celtic player?

think they are going to be made an example of to be fair.

We are already in trouble going into the St Johnstone game these guys wouldn’t have been able to train as just return the day prior plus St Johnstone will be more match sharper than us. Going take a few games to get back into it. Going be another long season under McIness

Was the Celtic player a regular?

Aberdeen will be fecked if the players are banned for that long. But some type of punishment is needed.

No. He's incredibly crap and I'm pretty sure Sunday was his first appearance since December.

Happy to see Hearts ram it up Dundee's backside last night. They can take their lucrative friendlies and see where that gets them at the end of the season.

Anyone watching the Dundee Utd. vs. St. Johnstone game on ESPN+? I haven't watched a Scottish game in ages. Is this the standard level of play in Scotland? There has been some dreadful play here.

James Tavernier has 10 goals and 7 assists in 16 games for Rangers so far this season. He’s a fecking right back.
They've got things so locked down at the back that he gets bored and decides to attack.

Conceded 3 goals in 16 in the league, 14 out of 16 clean sheets, on their second run of 7 clean sheets in a row now. Being on pens helps his stats, but he and they are absolutely destroying the league right now.

Celtic have now gone 5 games in all competitions without a win.

Surely Lennon has to get the sack now even though I’m finding it really pleasing seeing them on this run and properly f****** up 10 in a row which they have been banging on the drum about these past 8-9 years as if it’s an absolute certainty to happen.

For anyone who plays FPL there is a Scottish version and Tavernier is on course for something like 500 points for the season. Including Europe he has 16 goals and 11 assists in 25 games so far. He’s also top in the league for various measures like most chances created, most passes into the opposition box, etc.

I can't believe he has still this job.

Is James Tavarnier, Ranger's right back, really the league's top goalscorer this season?! I know he's the penalty taker, but still.

Aye. 16 goals and 11 assists in 25 games so far. He had a really productive season a couple of years ago, but this is something else. He's pushing on in open play and got a few goals gambling as far as the six-yard box. Credit to Gerrard's tactics that have enabled his full-backs to get so far forward.

Surely Rangers title now?

1-0 up v celtic who are down to 10 men. Rangers are 19 point ahead, albeit Celtic have 3 games in hand.

Stick a pin in it.
The new Rangers have done well to break Celtics dominance of the SPL.

Don’t underestimate Gerrards ability to blow a title race.

It would be something special if Celtic somehow win the league though.

How many years have Rangers been back in the league?

Even if/when Celtic win the 3 games in hand they are still 10 points off which is still a pretty hefty gap.

Gerrard to be the next Liverpool manager when Klopp's era ends one day? To complete the "Ole-Lampard-Arteta" set.

Very hefty considering Rangers have only dropped 4 points so far in 22 matches and there's 16 to go for them.

If Celtic win every match from this point on (19 in a row) they'll get 100 points. If Rangers lose the 2 derbies still remaining and keep up their form of 2.82 points per game in their remaining 14 non-derby games they'll have 101.

Are Celtic going to win every match? Highly doubtful, and it still wouldn't make them champions if Rangers' form holds.

This is around the point Rangers started to falter last season. They really should win the title this year though from this position.

Yeah it should be from here, although we have a few tricky away trips coming up this month. Celtic were better today than they have been for a while, the first half probably their best half of football in an old firm tie in at least half a dozen games. Second half Rangers came back into it and it was game over after Bitton's silly red. No surprise Lennon is blaming the ref when it's as clear cut a red card as you'll see.

Rangers' improved squad depth came to the fore today. Had two of our first-choice midfielders out in Jack and Arfield, both particularly effective in these games, but could still pull Hagi off the bench to change the game, and we got the job done.

I watched this and the Spurs game. Rangers were really poor throughout but their old goalkeeper is excellent. Actually he’s good anytime I’ve seen Rangers.

That Celtic defender cost them the game though. Probably the most idiotic decision you are likely to see. Rangers deserve the title this year. Celtic fans are ridiculously arrogant.

It would be massive for Gerrard to snatch the 10 in a row from Celtic. It’s the absurdity of Scottish football that winning 10 titles in a row is actually a legitimate holy grail.
