Wish him all the best with his recovery - physically and mentally. Great news that he's conscious and stable; football is secondary to health.
Delighted hes conscious. So much work going into concussion research now. Remember 2018 world cup a physio fecking slapped a concussed player and told him to carry on
You got incredibly lucky! They reckon neck strength is one of the few things we can control with regards to concussions. Some of the bulls in rugby just dont have necksI had a head on head clash, at speed, during a rugby match at school once --- two heads crunching is a feeling you never forget. The other kid was ambulanced out.
I was pretending to be all manly and claimed I was ok. Played the rest of the match though I remember nothing of the match later other than being in a line out -- 5 secs out of 80 mins!

I've got no idea about the severity of Kone's injury, but it sounds like he was out cold then struck his head on the ground in his fall, so it makes sense that he's had a concussion. From protocol in Australian football, concussions at the professional level require a minimum 12 days before returning to play. Kone's injury sounds potentially more severe than a stock standard concussion, so a month or longer might not be out of the question. How long will he be out with a head injury? A month?
dont know if the PL have a concussion protocol like Aussie rules here in australia but his return will also depend on how long he has consssion symptoms for. Not unsual to feel the after effects (nausea, headaches, poor response to exertion) for some time after the actual concussion itself. How long will he be out with a head injury? A month?
I'd hope it doesn't become a Will Pucovski-type situation, where Kone getting a bad concussion here makes him more prone to suffering further concussions, which then limits his ability to head the ball/play football at a high level.dont know if the PL have a concussion protocol like Aussie rules here in australia but his return will also depend on how long he has consssion symptoms for. Oh, absolutely. I wasn't justifying it, I was explaining it since a lot of posters took it at face value. But now is not the time. There's a line that comedians say, "Too soon?" Yeah, when a game is being abandoned because a kid needs to be taken to hospital.... It's too soon.
Similar, playing hockey back in 6th form and was tripped at speed, absolutely bounced my head off the astroturf. I wondered around for a bit in a daze then tried to get substituted only to be told to play on (no clue why, I wasn't even that good) - played another 40 minutes and have no memory of the rest of the game whatsoeverI had a head on head clash, at speed, during a rugby match at school once --- two heads crunching is a feeling you never forget. I got hit on the temple with a hockey ball at school. Was suddenly looking up at everyone in a circle around me on the ground. Had a lump like an egg and didn't even get the afternoon off.I got a full pelt in the front of my mouth by a hockey ball too. Split my lips, both upper and lower like a cauliflower. Thought I lost all my front teeth!
I think it was the closest thing to feeling like I was shot by a bullet. It literally lifted me off my feet and onto the floor.
Ah, yes. With covid. It was a Class of 63 masterclass. Two months later he was gone.Pogba?
Seko is one of the nicest lads in the academy, always polite, so I don't understand how you have judged him.Not his biggest fan, far from it but wish the lad a speedy recovery.
Yeah I've had a few head knocks and a concussion when I was younger, they're no joke. Thankfully I got away without any issues but had a few mates playing rugby and football who have struggled with them too.As someone who's suffered from a few concussions and head trauma the sad truth is that it will come back to haunt him at some point in his life. I just hope he makes a full recovery with no to minor ill effects for most of his life.

It’s a caf meme.
I think we should try and retire that particular caf meme, it's shit

I know someone who was concussed once, and she has suffered for years afterwards. Ya just never know when it comes to brain traumaIf you’ve had multiple concussions then your experience will be different to someone who’s only had one. And no two people will have the same experience. I’ve been knocked out twice in my life and never had any consequences (nearly 30 years later)

Gotcha, understand what ya mean 100% bud. And hopefully he is lucky and and makes a quick recoveryYea, 100%. Every concussion is different. I just wanted to correct the idea that being knocked out guarantees long term problems.

My gut feeling is he will end up going out on loan .So it looks like he's okay? That's a relief.
Do we think he's going on loan this year? I think the last we heard on this was that he impressed Amorim so we decided to keep him here, but I can't imagine him getting much game time this year. As good as he looks from a technical POV, he doesn't seem physically strong enough yet.
