Trying so hard to await until the end of the season to give full plaudits but I was a massive advocate for his signing.

He had all the signs of being a very shrewd signing and in my eyes he hasn't put a foot wrong, 23, in the EPL coming from the Belgian league and only 1 year of experience in that league to boot, I hadn't been this excited for a keeper since the young De Gea breaking through, the fact that hes came in and been the calm after the storm, how could you not be happy with him!

IMO hes been fantastic, he's plenty to learn and grow but long may he continue as our #1 for years to come

He has been brilliant. Great potential for sure.

I hope we get an equally decent back-up during the times when he isn’t available. A Raimond van der Gouw or Roy Carroll type of keeper - somewhat dependable but nothing to shout about.

This time last year he was half way through his first ever season as a number 1 for a team in a top division... And now he's number 1 at the biggest club in the world.

Honestly it speaks to his incredible mentality that he's not constantly freaking the feck out

It is incredible really.

We've seen much more experienced players go to pieces playing for Utd. Lammens looks so calm and assured.

It's such a relief to no longer have to worry about our keeper dropping a howler. I'd imagine our defenders feel the same way. I love how settled our backline looks now.

He is solid, reliable, good keeper. And considering his age, that is a high praise. Esp after that trainwreck Onana.

Lammens is not a world-class keeper, yet. No reason why he can't become one with proper development, but honestly I will take reliably solid, any day of the week, after the shit we were subjected to

think de Gea has better shot stopping. But Lammens has better cross claiming and punching ability. Would love it if Lammens go in to improve in these other aspects with more experience, training and competition at higher level

Love this bloke, an actual goalkeeper

Impressed how two-footed he is as well - very useful

When we were looking to sign Onana it was said that he was unorthodox and that was good. It wasn't.
I don’t think that opinion was universal though. I remember videos cropping up of him charging out of the box, bringing the ball out of the box, and making cock ups with many being shit scared !!

He's had a great impact on the team this season, largely because the previous goalkeeper was a bomb scare. A very reliable, solid pair of hands. He has a shakey clearance straight to Gallagher yesterday but overall another assured performance with some good saves and excellent cross claims.

Yes, that is such a good attribute to have. Attackers have difficulty closing him down because he can pass comfortably either side. Having said that, he was lucky he wasn't punished for that pass directly to a Spurs player.

So far so good, he's not the finished article and has been beaten a bit too easily from distance a few times this season but the signs are very encouraging.

Seems to be level headed and competent, which are great attributes for a keeper.

Hopefully he will improve even further as he gets more experience. It will be interesting to see how he responds to making a blunder as all keepers make them, the greats just shrug it off while others crumble and make even more mistakes as a result, see Onana, Bayinder, De Gea towards the end of his time with us and Ben Foster.

Eh? I said he makes the odd mistake. Off the top of my head he’s let in a couple of long rangers that he could’ve done better with for a start.
Which ones?

I meant I didn’t think he’s made a mistake. Bar maybe the Brighton goal? I think but it was a good strike so I don’t really think you could call it a mistake.

Safe pair of hands. Long may it continue.

Kind of taking this off tangent, but the only serious mistake I can think of that came from him is a misplaced pass to a Brighton player in a dangerous position in the FA cup early on in that match. Even then that didn't result in a goal as he recovered really well from it with a save.

The biggest compliment I can give him is you don't notice him

Biggest compliment I can give him is he's saving me $35 a month adult diapers because I'm no longer shitting myself everytime opposition teams get close to our goal.

True, but it's what I remember from that time.

Anyway, Lammens, eh? He's not bad. What a nice feeling to not be freaking out anytime the ball comes near our box.

Whats the point of this? There is hardly any keeper being better than DDG at shot stopping

When I watch the game I don't think about what he'll do and don't worry at all, this is a good feeling to have.
I said this after the game vs Fulham, and I felt the same vs Spurs, it felt like he does not exist at all because he does his business quietly, and I feel the CBs trust him totally, which is what the team needs, someone who is competent and confident and causes no drama.

Onana kinda made me shit my pants whenever there is chance or a set piece, every game Onana played for us made me so anxious he will feck up, so when I say I do not think about Lemmens during the game, it means he is doing his job right and we do not have to live in fear of conceding a goal.

He’s 23, stepped into the lion’s den and asserted himself as our No 1 within 3-4 months. He’s a safe pair of hands who makes the odd mistake, but he’ll get better each year. Could become a VdS in his late 20s.
Disagree with the bolded, he asserted himself as our No 1 since his first game vs Liverpool, it did not take 3-4 months

Just came on here to thank him for being here. What a difference he's made. As big an impact as any player with our better form this season. Long may it continue.

Good point, I don't think he's made any real mistakes until now. However, there have been a few shots (especially longer-rage) where he *could* potentially have done better in my opinion. As I said, not mistakes per se, but he could have done better on some (very few) occasions.
Would have to look up the exact goals I seem to remember though, I think they came in some of his earlier games. He's been pretty much flawless the last however many games. Long may it continue.

He's looks so relaxed, calm and assured, doesn't get flustered by little mistakes or seems like he dwells on them the odd sloppy pass or missing a cross etc. Feels like he has the ability to handle the mental side of being a top level keeper at a big club.

Still early days, but even if he just maintains his current level for the next number of years, he'll have been an incredible signing.

West Ham 1:1 Man Utd
Love how he dealt with Wilson being through twice.

His consistency is amazing. You know exactly what you’re going to get with him. I’m genuinely happy if he just keeps doing what he’s doing, personal development would be great, but not essential
