Have to confess seen very little of him but reading been the best midfielder in Serie A supposedly. But fo rthose saying you would take him over Grealish any day of the week, regardless of the ability you DO have to factor in settling in a new country, culture and league.

I mean Veron was arguably the best midfielder in Serie A when we signed him and Serie A was still very strong at the time and he WAS a fabulous player, but it didnt work out at all in the country for him did it, here or at Chelsea

With Grealish we know he can handle the culture, league and style of football as he is from it, its simply whether or not he can step up to playing for the biggest side in the country

Villa brief the press with some silly bugger nonsense about £80m for Grealish. United put out a couple of rumours about an exotic sounding alternative in the hope that Jack will shit himself and put some pressure on behind the scenes.

You could set your watch by these shenanigans.

Sancho is a given, but I don’t know if our budget left will allow us to afford SMS, Gaitain, Koulibaly and Sotiris Ninis.

He's not even the best midfielder in his team. L.Alberto is on another level to him, and probably every other CM in the league. I've never got why Savic gets more recognition than him.

Bump. No rumours of him is surprising given Pogba may be leaving. Is he not good again? His whoscored ratings says he still is

We would have similar issues with his position. We would need a pure DM (Rice) for him to maybe work out with Bruno. While he puts in a good shift, he is best in a 3 man midfield as the most offensive midfielder.

With the transfer of Bruno, this isn't happening. We will go for a more defensive/allround midfielder, considering we have VdB and Lingard in the squad as well.

With Bruno at the club we simply don't need a Pogba or SMS type. They are incredibly hard to accommodate which we have found out.

We'd be better with a proper CM coming in if Pogba does go. Sancho Bruno Rashford/Greenwood/Martial should ensure we have lots of creativity anyway.

Will probably end up at West Ham (as sort of Rice replacement) or Everton eventually. Or Inter if Inzaghi can last a few years

I think he'd be great fit for most top half premier league teams imo. Would start at likes of Liverpool and Chelsea (better than Kovacic imo). Can play box to box, number 10 or slightly deeper so multiple options to use him in a midfield.

Seems he's boxed in like Kane, on an endless long contract at Lazio so despite links with PSG and Juve in last two years he's just too expensive to sign.
