I remembe being excited with us being linked with him when he was 15, just hope the hype doesn't get to him (Shoretire) as it has done for many.

If you look back at the youngest players to appear in the PL etc, it certainly isn’t a good gague for determining if a player will become top level.

Shola is in all the major newspapers today so I thought a thread was justified.

I think these players have much better support networks now at club and international level so they should get all the best information and guidance.

Can play any of the attacking positions but probably at his best just off the main striker

Can't really tell how he will progress.

I mean Bojan scored more than 200 goals in his youth, outscoring Messi.

    But he's in Stoke now...

Do you reckon? He's always played above his age group I think.

He is probably too good for that level but I think England won’t put players under the age of 15 in higher groups.

I thought he meant that playing shoretire was just a ploy to draw attention to our academy. So was more of a PR attempt. My question was if he really thought he didn't deserve a chance?

United are his 3rd club already, I wonder why!!!

As we've seen with Ravel external factors can affect what happens on the pitch, not comparing this lad to Ravel either because this is a totally different set of circumstances but there's no doubt its not going to be a smooth ride.

Don’t think it’s unreasonable that a young player has moved clubs so much at that age.

What 'circumstances' are you talking about? And why isn't it going to be a smooth ride? What exactly do you know as fact?

Some players have people around them who are more demanding then others who want to be looked after unfortunately.

Any idea was it a case of us poaching him or was he let go?

I don't know, I do suspect United have poached him considering how good he is.

Probably due to their home move, it's pretty common for kids to move with their parents, changing academy is like changing school when they move to the different area.

It’s almost time for a Shola Shoretire V Karamoko Dembele comparison thread.

He's very, very highly rated, can't wait to see what he can do when he moves up to the U18s permanently.

Just watching a rerun of Celtic vs Hearts and Karamoko Dembele is playing in the second half. He is looking like a very special talent. Just turned 16. If we're looking for the best british talents around we should be all over this guy!
