I have a similar story - United were in Sydney in 2013. I was waiting outside the team hotel and got chatting with another fan, who told me that he'd just had his photo taken with Sir Alex and the PL trophy.
I was blown away, and asked him to show me the photo - so he pulls out a photo of him with the PL trophy, and the trophy's handler - this older Irish chap who bears somewhat of a resemblance to Sir Alex, but it's quite obviously not the man himself.
Me - 'that's not Sir Alex'
Guy - 'yes it is'
Me - 'no that's definitely not him, I don't think Sir Alex even made the journey to Australia'
Guy - 'it is him!'
Spent a good five minutes arguing with him, but he was utterly convinced he had a picture of himself with 'Sir Alex' and clearly wasn't going to change his mind, so I gave up.
Hope that dude enjoys his picture of 'Sir Alex' and himself!

I don't get this. If you're going to just brazenly plagiarise that poor man's 6 year old story for clicks, why not just use the actual photo as well? Why go to the trouble of using AI to make Sir Alex Ferguson look less like sir Alex Ferguson?

Surreal. I was there with my brother in law at the time as I was still a young lad, and he ended up getting a photo with the trophy and who I assume is the same bloke by walking into the hotel lobby
He isn't even a United fan! He supports Chelsea.

I know the guy in the photo his name is Bark Mellen. He used to shoot at pigeons for shitting in his garden and he is a vegan that also eat eggs (only eggs)
