1. I think Amorim is great but he needs to watch our pens and tough it out
2. Mount is a player
3. Bruno needs to take up Yoga and breath work
4. Yoro rocks
5. I’d love a decent goalkeeper

1.) Concerns about the system are vastly overblown. We will create enough to be in every match. Whether we finish chances will be a different story. I would expect around midseason to be a little better defensively as the team gels more and learns to press as a unit.
2.) I enjoy Amorim's candidness and passion. It's refreshing.
3.) The cutural reset at the club is almost complete.
4.) Cunha will become the new talisman as the team shifts away from a Bruno dependency.
5.) Mbuemo will lead the team in Goals in the league.

1. Left wing back is the biggest weakness of this 343 formation. Dorgu isn't good enough, I expect RA to use Dalot more (which isn't a great option either)

2. Bruno's a club legend but turning down 100m for him at 31 to shoehorn him into the midfield is just a terrible footballing decision. I hate Liverpool FC but they wouldn't do this sentimental shit.

3. Mbuemo and Cunha up front already look a step up in class from Garnacho/Hojlund/Rashford

4. I don't think RA is convinced by Sesko (apparently he wanted Watkins), the "easing him in" line doesn't ring true with me

5. Lammens couldn't be worse than Onana and Bayindir, surely?!

The fact that so many of our supporters are raising a stink over number 1 is shocking. So many latching onto media driven ABU views.

Fair enough, I suppose. Personally I’d rather see a bit more stoicism

I think we have a bunch of players at the club that even Mike Bassett himself couldn’t fix, we get talented managers and just turn them into awful ones, for me this formation does not work with the players we have, sorry to go on about it but play to the teams strengths, every time I see us play this formation I look at it and there are people playing in positions their not familiar with, all over the pitch.

Goalkeeper- this formation naturally puts pressure on them, they have to look for an option that sometimes isn’t available, or go long.

CB- none of them are used to playing a back three and you can see it, personally yoro deligt CB pairing would be decent.

Full backs- again not used to it, we need attacking wingbacks who can cross the ball and really drive into the final third, amad and mbeumo just get in each others way.

CM’s - need totally reworking, we have an aged Casemiro who hasn’t got the legs and Bruno who runs everywhere leaving massive gaping holes in the central areas- area of real real concern.

The two tens are brilliant but how long until they get dragged down? I wonder?

Striker - Sesko is a young prospect who needs time, again used to a 442 not this.

RA Doesn’t fill us with confidence and will never change his ways, his time is limited I believe although myself I do not want that. The reality is tenth is most likely for this squad, I can lt see us finishing any higher

Bloody Hell.

Preferable to the greatest hits among the toxicity brigade

1. The midfield will be overrun
2. I hate Dalot
3. Bruno should've been sold
4. I hate Ugarte
5. Amorim out

Yes and there growing by the minute. Wait till after City and Chelsea if there arnt good results.. another fecking meltdown

Grimsby was an outlier.

Played well in the other 3 games and could have easily picked up 7 points.

Goalkeeper has been a joke.

The media are hoping the ‘crises’ continues and will over scrutinise every single loss for clicks. Man Utd in crises is blockbuster stuff that they love to get clicks and advertising revenue.

Mbeumo will likely be the teams star of the season.

1. Our defence doesn't protect our keeper at corners a all. Its unacceptable. And teams are exploiting it.
2. We still don't score enough when having the upper hand in games. We must improve on it.
3. Mason Mount will be a key 12th man this season.
4. We still don't consistently supply the player operating at cf. It needs to improve.

5. Our rest defence is still poor.

I'd hate to see it, but if you can sell Bruno for good money to the saudis in January and get a world class CM in that would probably change a lot. While Bruno has been good for you, I don't think his contribution is required anymore with the new signings. And, is he really United material? Seems like he is always whining about something.

Edit: Above was only one thought but lots have been covered already so didn't really feel like repeating many of the points all over again.

There seems to be a lot of fans trying to re-write history and say that we played well against Fulham.

If the referee blew the final whistle after the first 15 minutes, you might have a case. Certainly not the case if you watched the full game.

Not sure you know what 12th man means !!

Agree with all of these – I also think our keeper needs to be more forceful in trying to claim the ball. If an opposition player is blocking you, then you need to show that you are being blocked, rather than just being prevented from moving.

VdS wouldn't have stood for someone getting in his way.
Schmeichel would just barge aside someone who was stupid enough to try.

Things are stabilizing now with the amazing win over Burnley.

Totally agree with your analysis.

1. If we lose: system is an issue
2. If we win: give it time, we will lose again
3. If we draw: manager is not good enough

In this age you get more forceful they will give the opposition a penalty with VAR if you land on the wrong ref. Just protect the keeper. End of story.

Although I get what you mean. In Onana's first season after the Wolves incident in game one opposition players were wary of his oribit for a long while....

Would have won the league if we'd signed a quality CM. Now I'd say we'll likely finish 4th or 5th. We are a lot better than people think. CM and Striker positions really will let us down though. I don't see Sesko being good enough for at least another couple of years, if ever, and none of our CM's are good enough.

Results always follow performance on a consistent basis. You can occasionally play poor and win and play well and lose but those are exceptions. For me, the most important thing is our performances and the performances (in general) have been better than they were last season.

I am optimistic for the season still.

Fair point and that is the risk.

I guess I would rather our keeper went for the ball – and if that meant going through someone trying to block him then so be it. The result might be a penalty – but have seen far too many goals conceeded where our keeper seems to give up and crumble the second he feels contact or someone in his path.

Indeed

Can’t rely on Mount and he’s taking minutes from Sesko
Goalkeepers were shit. Lammens should start against City regardless of being a new player
Cunha and Mbeumo look like very good signings
Generally the football is much better
We need a no 6 in January. Casemiro and Bruno are hit and miss

1. Good new players…
2. who don’t fit into this system…
3. so the same vulnerabilities persist…
4. but we got shot of a bunch of drags…
5. meaning this season will be better but Amorim won’t be here at Christmas.

We cherry picked the bought players for this system. Cunha literally played in the same formation! Mbuemo is doing very well from the right. I don't understand how you came to that conclusion.

1 System is working better, we have better output
2 Both new #10's look great addition
3 Sesko aerial threat & holdup look promising
4 Goalkeeper woes held us back yet again
5 Midfield look thin/"sloppy"/disjointed/slow

And if they are good results then everyone’s back on the RA bandwagon… funny how football can turn out week after week.

We must be watching different teams play, is all I can come up with.
I'm not sure what you're implying here. I'm not convinced by the formation yet (which is what I think you're suggesting?) but the players were clearly bought in with the formation in mind.

Again, cunha played in the exact same role at wolves and mbuemo fits in well on the right. Sesko is the tall target man that amorim likes to play up top and who can get on the end of crosses.

The two are not mutually exclusive...

Yep. Then this season more than ever it's downs and ups.. if anybody thinks we get top 4 there really positive I don't mind that, and also you got the ohh were getting relegated after 3 games. Injuries will determine the outcome of this season.

1. Mbeumo is a proper United player
2. Cunha spends way too much of the game chasing after his last poor touch and as soon as Amorim is sacked or we improve to be a more dominant team he'll be deadwood.
3. We'll never control a game with this midfield. We'll fade in games if we can't slow the game down when we need to.
4. Amorim still needs to work on his substitutes
5. Amad at wingback still has a lot to figure out and this system is going to make or break on if he can get an attacker in the RWB position.

Cunha as got a pretty decent touch to be fair. He’s always spinning off players with his touch and loses his marker.

Nah, his close control for someone who likes to run with the ball is pretty bad. Combine with his love of a daft shot he's going to kill a lot of promising attacks.

1. Better in attack
2. Still cant finish
3. 10th place max

Looks like they are being played out of position and/or in a manner that doesn’t help them.

This is actually blowing my mind considering what little I've seen of him in a United shirt. I'm a little flabbergasted at it. Don't even know what to respond with considering the quality of Cunha. Mad, mad take.

He's always looked like he's got a cracking touch to me. He's shown it a few times this season already. That ball he plucked out of the air from a Bruno long ball Vs...goons was it(?) was cracking
