Hasn't played any football since the Europa Conference final has he? I can't see him playing 90 minutes in either of the next few games.

No certainly not starting but am optimistic he will at least play a small part in them
Martial didn't play I don't know since when. Got in as a sub without pre season then started the next match. Maybe there is hope for a 10 minute cameo and a 20/30 cameo against Bayern.

I genuinely can't believe he wasn't even asked about him in the presser? Wtf :houllier:
Crazy alright , the only interesting stuff in any of these press conferences is team/squad news for upcoming matches.

Did anyone of them ask is he available to play and in the squad for tomorrow's match?

Pathetic excuse for journalism. These hacks are only interested in creating a soap opera around the club.
Yep and when they don't get shit, they whip out the "Sources close to PlayerX say _____", or my personal favourite "I am led to believe________".

Bunch of lying crooks. If anyone is stealing a living, it's them. Get a basic grasp of the English language, be able to bull shit a bit, and you've made it.

Not even enquiring about Amrabat just shows what the intent of their press conferences are. To create drama. Not, you know..... actually fecking report. No, we don't do that....

So he signed two weeks ago, got injured, and now we won't see him play for potentially another two weeks at the earliest? While on loan? A month already chalked off? Lovely.

So which attacking midfielder are we playing in midfield now?

This level of bad luck is unbelievable.

If on the other hand, this is a result of him training on his own, and not having match fitness, then this is yet another way the Glazers feck us by not getting the players in sooner in an attempt to save money

Ole looked 10 years older when he got the axe, this season is going to age Erik 20 years older. Hopefully Amrabat can be back in a week or two.

This squad seems to have the 2nd year itch. I can see us finishing around 5 or 6 maybe even 7th this season... but we will start playing better towards the end of the year and hopefully next year will return to some consistency.

Just seems like everything is against us this season so far.

Yeah Ole started looking like a withered old man, gaunt, with black, empty eyes. A shell. I don’t think it will happen to Erik. He’s too smart to let it ruin him.

Martial played in the closed door friendlies.

Do we just sign injured players or injure them during the medical?

It's like the pen they use to sign their contract is poisoned or something

Erik should have pulled rank like Fergie used to do over international call ups. On the other hand Morocco could also have said join up at next meet up in October then he may have been available

Interesting quote regarding him being able to play fullback or wingback too.

I wonder if at any point we'll see ETH use him the way Arteta used Partey at the start of the season, as the nominal full back who inverts into midfield alongside the DM.

He also thought Kudus could play as a full back, and Haller at LW...

I think they detected some minor injury during the medical. So it's more precautionary than anything else. A bit like Ramus. Allowing the body to heal properly.

This season so far is just a greatest hits of bad luck. I’m hoping we are somehow in contention for top in a few months time.
