"cause an upset"Big test ahead?
“The next one is always the biggest!
Being where we are in the league gives us more confidence and is a sign of where we are at. The game against the Champions, amazing record at Anfield, it is a great test for us. Can we go there and cause an upset?”
We are not favourites, any team at Anfield will be underdog, Liverpool will be favourites."cause an upset"
Mind play? Trying to downplay our position as favourites (in some eyes)?
Yeah be nice of other managers to mention it and put it front and centre.I’m disappointed he didn’t call Klopp out on his whining about refs.
Every single week.I just love Ole.
Another mature and measured appearance in front of the press....
None of this immature Klopp-baiting nonsense.
‘It’s not my place to tell refs how to do their job’ is kind of a subtle, clever dig to be fair.I’m disappointed he didn’t call Klopp out on his whining about refs.
Probably due to the fact that none of the media think there is any chance of him making the squadNo questions about Diallo involvement?
Mate, you're telling me...!!He handles himself extremely well in pressers.
Not that it matters or anything - but he really does.
Can I say that I feckin' love this guy? Is that allowed?
If he actually achieves something with United, I'll be...you know, it would be just about perfect in every way.
It's been said before - but it's very refreshing to have a fully likeable fecker as the manager of United.Mate, you're telling me...!!
He has been the same all the time.. The difference is now we are in a better position, and It translates to more people. Not only us who understand him at the beginning.I haven’t always enjoyed his press conferences but he is getting better and better all the time, quite subtle, never reactionary and always in control..for instance, I am sure he did get some texts about us being top. He handled that question really well.
Klopp was expecting more!Concern over Klopp comments about officials?
“I don’t think it is my place to give the officials any advice. They are good at what they are doing and it is not something I think about at all.
I have got a lot of respect for Jurgen and have not experienced that at all.”
I disagree, at the beginning he was a little insecure, too much of a fan and blurting out rhetoric...I feel he is more assured now and choosing his words a little more carefully...he is growing into the job obviouslyHe has been the same all the time.. I can see how you can see it that way. Personnaly I think he saw that he had a squad drained of confidence, not fit to play the football he wanted, and seriously lacking in positions and in character. He also saw the negativity around the club. Mind, he had watched as a ‘fan’ (I think he always followed United with a ‘what would I do as the manager’-perspective tbh) how both Van Gaal and Mourinho pointed out how the players were lacking confidence, and seen the press and SoMe machine always producing negativity, doubt, splitting perspectives about the club, players and managers.I disagree, at the beginning he was a little insecure, too much of a fan and blurting out rhetoric...I feel he is more assured now and choosing his words a little more carefully...he is growing into the job obviously
Meanwhile Klopp has been reading what media said, what Clattenburg said, etc etc.Concern over Klopp comments about officials?
