It’ll be too risky to give Laird a league debut against Zaha or Townsend in this situation and pressure when dropping point is a fatal in this game, if it is just the beginning of season I can understand. Twist ankle should take longer than just a week, won’t expect Shaw to be back but Williams is only a head injury, should be okay.

Our revival started without Paul Pogba and before Fernandes joined, though there's no denying he has made a huge difference to us, Pogba has been great since he came back, leaving the Southampton game out of course, but Fred has not let us down this season and before lockdown him and Mctominay were very very good for us, now because we've had a run of games with Pogba people suddenly talk as though Fred and Mctominay are rubbish, which they certainly are not.
Don't forget Pogba has been out for months, he can't play so many games in such a short space and deliver his best every single time, if we go with Fred or Mctominay tonight instead of Pogba or say, Matic, then we will still be fine, it's still a strong midfield.
