Only United can miss a penalty and it turn into a week's worth of news
It became a far bigger issue than a missed penalty

If the power and profile of Utd can initiate change then it has to be a positive move.

We'll get lucky if half those points are covered. The press will focus on the penalty fiasco and Pogba

No only Pogba can miss a penalty and with the help of Gary it turns into a week's worth of news

Here we go again with this Gary Neville thing. If you checked Twitter during the penalty incident and just after it the abuse had already started. It started long before Gary uttered a word. It’s not his fault it became what it did, unfortunately Twitter is full of a lot of this these days and social media in general.

Was always going to be a shitshow after a prolific ex-player called it 'treachery' on the main broadcast.
What a knob. His least favourite player took a pen off his favourite United player. That's all that's needed to become treachery.

So Dalot is injured, which explains why we haven't see him for a while.

Facing Palace
It’s gonna be a tough game as all these games in the Premier League are, every single one they give you a different challenge and of course they’re a very well organised team, they’ve pace up front, good counter attacks, big on set pieces and we have to do all parts of the game, have to attack well, win the ball back when we lose it and we’ve got to be strong on set plays.

Change in team spirit from side which drew with Palace last year?
I didn’t watch the game last year, we had a game ourselves with Molde but I heard they had a few counter attacks, Wilf (Zaha) was close to scoring, team spirit great, we’ve got loads of energy and passion, you can see the way we went about the game at Wolves our pressing was excellent, we gave them five mins in the second half that was it really apart from that... the engine looks so much better, and everyone is fit, when you’re fit you’re mentally strong as well.

Pogba? Racial abuse? How is he?
Paul’s fine, Paul’s a strong character and... he’s a strong character and it makes him stronger. When you speak to him he’s fine and I just cannot believe we’re still sitting here in 2019 talking about these instances. Social media is a place where people can hide behind fake identifies, it’s not down to me to change it but there are so many Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s on Twitter I know it’s not me and we’ve got to do something about it and the authorities have got to do something about it, you feel sorry for them (the abusers), they must have problems themselves.

Just ignorance on my part but shouldn't watching last years game back be a part of the prep for this game?

Who takes next pen?
I’m sure you’re gonna see Paul Pogba score a pen for Manchester United again, definitely. We’re practising pens still and Marcus and Paul are still on them.

Lukaku's comments
Lukaku? I’m not going to dive into that one, part of that interview was made when he was a Man United player, so I’d rather not.

Twitter meeting?
We need to protect individuals and protect people. When there’s death threats and racism, it’s serious allegations, serious incidents, sometimes you get annoyed, what can we do about it as Manchester United, we’re not gonna ban our players on social media we have to spread the good word instead. We can use it to spread good and have to stop those incidents.

Surprise at criticism of you over pens?
It’s not that I’ve left it to the players, we’ve nominated two and throughout the season you’ll have games where they are not playing and it’s good to know they’re there and trusted to take penalties.

It’s not like anarchy and they can do whatever they want, we have a few, last year we had Marcus, Jesse and Paul, it’s not left to them.

Bury's situation
I missed a pen at Gigg Lane actually for the reserves! Bolton and Bury’s situations... it’s hard to keep up at the top if you don’t have the resources, as a local club, we want to see local players do well and we’ve recruited players from those clubs and want them to do well and if there’s anything we can help them with I’m sure we do that.

I wouldn't say so - it happened last year, there's probably not much relevant information to be gained from it then say watching Palaces last 2 matches.

Dressing room support for Pogba
It’s natural for them, they’re a team, we talk about team spirit, it’s natural for us as human beings and teammates we look after each other and you won’t see any of ours criticise each other in social media or in the media.

I’m sure you’re gonna see that more often when we win we support each other, we go through times together.

Why isn’t Martial on penalties? He’s only taken a few but I can’t remember him missing one. Strange that he doesn’t even seem to be in the discussion.

I'm sure I recall Martial missing one? Not that that's a criticism of course, everyone misses them

Latest on Sanchez?
There are still talks with some clubs but he played in that Sheffield game and played well, he’s working hard and let’s see in September what’s going to happen.

That's interesting - are there any instances of big clubs helping smaller ones in the past?

True, better information to be gained watching teams that press high against Palace rather than us last year.
