Spurs 2026/27 | Secretly being run by Edward Woodward?

Savinho had 1500 minutes last season, it's insane if he goes for anything near £80m.

I know you wont like this but surely for that money, you can go get Ndiaye from Everton, maybe even cheaper and is much better player?

80m + for Savinho is wild.

Isn't Kudus nearly fit again? He threw a strop at West Ham because he wanted to play on the right. Also Odobert might be fine around November/December?
Saw a tweet and assumed it was from one of those fake accounts. Mind boggling fee if true.

80 million? He played 821 minutes and scored 1 goal last season.

I'm really interested to see if this big splurge works out for them.

I see Liverpool doing their needed business. They have work to do yes but the financial impact of missing out on Champions League revenues, especially with the resurgence of United and potential resurgence of Chelsea and Spurs will force their hand.

Also, when it comes to players, quality is important of course. But just as important and in opinion probably more important is a working system that the players understand, and can implement consistently to a high level. And despite them starting again under Iraola, do I feel there is still a core squad in place that can deliver 80+ points if it goes well for them, even with Salah gone.

But to your point, it depends on what they do in the market. As is, they will struggle for top 5 with the amount of transfers underway and the schedules of Chelsea and Spurs. But as mentioned, I dont see them standing completely still this window.

I'll stick to my prediction provided they do their business and Iraola settles well, a comfortable top 5 with an outside chance of the league.
Its hard to say what they will do this summer. How much money can they realistically spend considering they went all-in last summer.

I rate Savio and think he can be a good player but that fee is just bonkers. I guess they set the tone for the summer when they overpaid for Fernandes and Tonali. Now every club will jack their asking price up. Gakpo on the other hand is just average as feck. A discount Rashford. No idea why they would be interested in him.

Looking on from the outside, they are just playing FM in real life. A full squad revamp will never go down well. Not especially when you are overpaying so much in transfer fees and wages.

What would working out be at this stage? They almost got relegated last season. Would it be working out if they finished mid table, or would only a top four do?

If Savinho had goals he'd be a £150m player and out of our range, at 22 I figure we think there's more to come from him.

Obviously the minimum would be europe. Spending £100 million they would have expected at least mid table, they're at £228 million before Savinho which would be £65 million up front and then add ons to take it to £85 million with £75 million in sales and Romero about to leave for £35 million. If all goes through they'd be at £183 million net spend so almost double. Who in their right mind would think mid table would make sense for that business?

I mean have a word with yourself, if he was worth £150m he'd be one of the best players in the world.
I don't know if £150m gets you best in the world nowadays but his dribble and chance creation numbers match the highest echelon of wingers, the reason they cost £150m and he costs half that is because they score and he doesn't. If he were to add goals then he would be with them but obviously that's a pretty big if.

He could very well remain a threatening but profligate winger all his career but given he's shown an ability to score goals before(albeit in La Liga) and has only just turned 22 then I can see the appeal from our side.

Interesting.. just to let you know about nowadays. Signings in the last 18 months

Ollise went for 55m Euros is probably one of the best RW rn
Kvar went for 70m Euros who is one of the best LW's
Doue went for 50m Euros to PSG

Rodri is one of the best DM's and will probably go for 70m

How much would they cost now?

Rodri is hardly comparable either.

The point is you can get them much cheaper.. why isn't Rodri comparable?

What body of work has Savinho got to say 85m is a fair price?

Nothing, its clear you can sign players for good deals.

Rodri is 30 with one year left on his deal, off the back of an ACL and will be commanding a massive salary. There's also a negative percent chance we or any club outside of one or two could actually sign him. So comparing his fee is completely irrelevant.

The others you mentioned all had elite clubs chasing them. Do you think Spurs could've signed Kvara over PSG or Olise over Bayern? If no then the fees are again irrelevant to Spurs.

I think he's probably worth 50-60m currently so if it actually is 85m then that's a big overpayment but I still see the appeal from our side and I'm not seeing a plethora of better options out there. No doubt there are some hidden gems who one year from now will look like great deals but we're obviously not shopping in that market this summer and it's not like Savinho is completely without talent or potential.

Your club has had no control this summer. It's been desperation central. It may well work out for you but please don't try to justify the fees you've been spending as good ones.

At least its a forward I guess. Their biggest problem last season was that their best attacking players were their defenders.

So far to address this they've signed midfielders from teams who either got relegated last season, or weren't very good. Which is both nonsensical in itself and has nothing to do with why they were so bad last season.

They finished 5th in 23/24 so they should get decent results over the winter period and be comfortable top half by time January comes around.

The problems at Spurs tends to be 12 months into a high maintenance managers tenure. Conte and to a lesser degree Mourinho started well. They usually qualify for CL/Europa and then issues start as manager wants to add 3/4 elite players and they don't have finance or draw for that.

Can't see Spurs sending all this again next summer even if they make CL.

Making Europe and a good cup run at least.

Not like he hasn''t got one of the very best in world football to continually assist at Man. City.

I'm pretty sure in the run in he started at Bournemouth and the commentator said that was his first prem start of the season which was ridiculous considering how often Man. City rotate.

9 in 37 at Girona is his sort of limit in terms of season productivity I think.

That's pretty definitive for a player not long turned 22.

You're also omitting the 10 assists.
