ICHK I never said it was an exclusive North of England site, but with Manchester being in the North of England, and Manchester United representing the area of Manchester, you will get a lot of Northerners on this site, and you find their humour offensive. So save yourself the hassle and support your local team, not your national team.

And as for being Scouse, where did you get that from? I could waffle on about how much the term Scouse is derogatory statement and how I'm so offended BLa bla bla, but I'm bigger than that, and know that I'm Mancunian. Grew up in Fallowfield, went to school in Didsbury, but you won't know these places in Manchester, so what's the point?

I'll try to tell all you foreigners why we feel offended by that statement... and in case some of you dont know which statement its that crap about posters from malaysia planning a "jihad" (the poster is obviously an idiot)

1)Jihad is a term of sorts coming from Islam and has little to do with the crap your media tells your lot...and has even less to do with Malaysian culture

2)using the word was stereotyping the people and nations of tis region with the cnuts related to Osama the jack ass and some sick bastard elsewhere

3)we were so pissed because WE Malaysians are so often victimised and vilified by the crap the foreign media claims is news the dumb fecks they are...just like that moron who didnt know feck except the crap he hears and reads from the foreign dumb ass media wherever he is

So, its the same as calling mancunians, scouse but a bit more serious because we so often get reported wrongly by feckheads from foreign medias
throwing one accusations after another at Malaysians when they know so little about our country

Imagine being accused a murderer with no evidence, no ivestigation before hand

For a start, If you ask the mods, I'm not a Scouse fan. I've been accused of it before, but was found innocent and allowed back on. I've been a member on this forum for years.

Just because I'm from Manchester and support a team from Manchester does not make me a scouser. Scousers are from Liverpool and tend to support Liverpool or Everton.

I went to Barlow RC High in Didsbury, previously known as St marks, Barlow boys ar here again, not big scouse country. Phil Neal is an arse, and Liverpool a dump!

I never said you couldn't / shouldn't support a team from Manchester, but take th erough with the smooth. Northerners have a sense of humour all of their own, ie Bernard manning, Chubby Brown and many more who used to appear on the comedians on Granada. they offeded many but made many laugh. Like all comedy.

I'll try to tell you foreigners something too. It were a fecking joke. My father comes from Singapore. I don't know if you have a sizeable Muslim population or not, and I don't recall anyone in the media ever associating Malaysia with Jihad, or terrorism or anything of the such.

I'm sure there aren't too many lads there with Osama Bin Laden portraits on their bedroom walls beside there Man Utd posters - that would be ridiculous now wouldn't it.

To me, it would be the same as accusing an Australian or a Canadian of planning a jihad - highly unlikely, absurd, and therefore a joke.

Really? If you categorize Malaysia as being in the same innocent boat as Australia or Canada, why the jihad joke then? Malaysia has been wrongfully accused recently for harbouring terrorists of the osama ilk (was shown on CNN).

Let's get this straight - you poke fun at Malaysians about starting a jihad which in effect you have stepped into one of two very sensitive areas which no-one should ever make fun of in the first place - race and religion. It might just get you a black eye in some places.

Hey people ...I am from Malaysia too and I am proud of it. In MancunianC's defence, if you are familiar with the British sense of humour as I am....you will find it quite funny yourself. Truth be told I had a laugh myself <img src="graemlins/nervous.gif" border="0" alt="[Nervous]" /> !! I know it was quite an insensitive thing to say especially at this time, but loads of people especially in the Western countries dont have the slightest clue on whats actually going on with Malaysia,our culture,way of life, etc and they only know whats on CNN&BBC and if they say all terror began with Malaysia everyone will swallow it whole. But I am sure Mancunian kinda put 2&2 together and had a laugh ...not out of spite or hate....just for a laugh. IMO we(malaysians) could have just put on a :) and explain what we're actually about. Certainly calling someone an "inbred" or "motherfecker" does not put us in a good light ! And for the last time - Utd fans in Malaysia/Asia are some of the most passionate and loyal !! The fan club here is one of the oldest outside England, and they know all the songs, stay up to the wee hours of the morning supporting our team ....when we won the treble, there were a few hundred of us on the streets in KL ....not bad considering it was at 5 am in the morning ...so give us a break ok !!
