I don't know whether all of us see it as bad to be saying either, we may not be using some words completely accurately but this is how slang develops and the language changes over time. Maybe it is an issue in your country but the idea seems novel to myself.
Anyway, this cat-killer seems just a bit familiar but I'm not sure if there have been photos published before the court case but I know Brighton well and maybe saw him somewhere. Nasty piece of work. Hope this brings some sort of closure for the cat owners who suffered losses.
