Man Utd's 1990/91 League Cup run

Today we will be exploring some great football from this cup run.

United beat Halifax Town in the 2nd Round and were then drawn against Liverpool in the 3rd Round:



Then away to Arsenal in the 4th Round:



They needed a replay to beat Southampton in the 5th Round:



Before facing Leeds in the semi-final:

After all that, United (who had never won the League Cup) were heavy, heavy favourites against Second Division Sheffield Wednesday in the Final.

Still, United managed to get back to Wembley the next year and played against Roy Keane's Nottingham Forest:
