I'd go for Rodrygo & Delap.

We then get a LW & 2 ST in 2 transfers.
Shall we just overlook the fact we don’t play with wingers under Amorim which is why Garnacho has long been linked with a move away and Rashford is completely surplus to requirements.

Sørloth? Atletico are looking to sell; he scores at a rate of every 82 minutes. He's 28, so in his prime. He's very physical, surprisingly fast, a very hard worker and quite versatile. The issue is the 50M EUR they are asking. I think he would be a great second striker for us - but not good enough to lead the line.

Funny I was just looking at his stats today and thinking the cost would be prohibitive. Why are Atleti looking to sell ?

Don't know, and many argue that it's not the best move by them. He is probably not happy playing second fiddle to Alvarez, so there may be something there. He's been very good for them both as a sub and as a starter, but 50M EUR is a fair deal for a player who isn't a starter. They have better options up front than United do, however.

Sorloth was a huge flop in Germany and England. Spanish league seems to suit hin and he should stay there.

Interesting. Could be good value for someone, especially in such a thin CF market. Very much doubt INEOS will even consider it though unfortunately.

50m for a 28 year old who flopped in two leagues before he went to La Liga is not a good idea.

£40m for what looks like a late-bloomer who has been absolutely banging them in for a couple of seasons now ? Not as if he lacks physicality either. That juice definitely worth the squeeze for me.

Any suggestions for experienced cheap proven goalscorer that Delap could learn from?

He's not a number 9 though
He can play as a CF/second striker, that's where he plays for his NT, but guaranteed goals from the RW wouldn't be a bad proposition for us at all.

Also a good creator from there, feels like it would be a Fergie type signing.

I think Brentford want around 60M for him which is out of our reach without sales unless we don't complete the Cunha deal. The most concrete links have Mbuemo moving to Newcastle which they ought to have no problem with if they do get that top 5 finish.

Sesko is a good option.

If you are lucky. I don't think he is that good and would expect him to be someone for squad depth, not more. At least not considering the level of players I want United to sign.

Sesko is much better than Delap, but twice as expensive and with a risk that he could not fit our style / league.

I don't think anyone would claim that Mateta is a world class striker but you could see in yesterday's game how much difference someone like him would make to our side. Just having someone competent there will increase the level of the whole team significantly.

Edin Dzeko at near 40 years of age would even be an upgrade for us. I really don't think we need to nail this transfer. Just get usable bodies for decent prices.

What do you call the lad they went to Saudi from Fulham? Him or Toney IF they could get them for around 30m or less

Possibly the players are enjoying in rolling in the cash though

I'd take Vardy over Hojlund. He's In our price range as well

IIrc he is too lazy. Not a presser. But could be wrong.

Wow apparently Ekitike is also allowed to leave. So, now we have Osimhen, Gyokeres, Sesko, David, Ekitike all officially searching for a new club

Osimhen will end up at Saudi unless he stops asking for around £400k a week that's for certain

But that still leaves us with 4 great options, with only Arsenal and maaaybe one of PSG, Barca or Liverpool in need of a new CF

So presume you mean

Gyökeres (unlikely)
Sesko
Ekitike
?

Yeah as an experienced backup to a new striker. I think it makes a lot of sense. He'll still fit and quick. This team could do with his aggression and confidence as well.

9 league goals for that Leicester team at his age is good going.

If we can swap Rashford for Watkins we should do it.

We need an experienced striker and the good thing about Watkins he's PL proven.

I've personally voted for Gyokeres, but there is always that risk of signing players from weaker leagues and not being able to step up. In a position we are desperately struggling in it's probably more wise to go for the less risky option.
