That's all true, but it's not the most professional thing to have done in the circumstances. He's bound to be under a lot of scrutiny.
He's been training with Barca for the past few weeks and he played in their last friendly back in August - so it's not as if he's been lying on the beach. He's now a month away from what could be his debut (against Real Madrid) so he's got a bit of work to do, given that he's supposed to be in his pre-season.
He looks fine to me. Always been a stocky lad anyway.
