Anyone else seen this new Netflix series? It follows Sunderland last season in the Championship when they got relegated. Ironically Sunderland were happy for it to be filmed on the basis they would be fighting for promotion back to the Premier League.

It’s a real eye opener on how badly run a football club can get. One of the main points for me is when the board ask Jack Rodwell to terminate his £70k a week contract in January. They need to bring in new players, but have to sell first. He refuses to leave and even though has hasn’t played for month is happy walking home being paid £70k a week for doing nothing. Just shows the mentality of some modern day footballers.

Anyway fully worth a watch, much better than that Abu Dhabi City nonsense created by Amazon.
