Agreed. Don't understand the recent hate he's been getting.
TOTD is still my go to United podcast. I get what others are saying, recent episodes haven't been great but a lot of that is down to Laurie not getting the transfer news he used to and Andy just clearly hates the transfer window and is probably sick of all the online abuse he's been receiving for not telling fans what they want to hear. The pod will pick up again once the season starts.
Yeah it's considerably more enjoyable during the season whereas now the lack of information is just frustrating
It's interesting - I think the summer transfer market has proven to be a big challenge for the various fan channels and podcasts as they legitimately look to be in the dark on all transfer matter, and thus have nothing of consequence to report. The comment sections on FUTV, for example, are very negative towards the channel these days.
Howson and McKola are annoying but I like Jay and Joe from the Stretford Paddock.
Yeah the live chat is also very frustrated fanbase
I like Paddock. I get why people on here dislike Howson but I like the rest. They cover a lot of United youth set up, women's team and get many of the top tier Athletic lads on too. It has it issues but imo its the best fan channel by far.
They just come across as genuine fans (Jay and Joe) and try to discuss things in a mostly rational (and humourous) way. I also like when it's more than one person. Listening to the likes of Goldbridge, Flex, Adam, and Alice monologuing is exhausting.
It’s funny how little they actually know. Unless they’re acting the fool, they’ve been out of the loop on transfers.

Certainly my favourite United podcast even if the Ankaman gets on my nerves a fair bit.

At this stage in proceedings, the club is in a sad state. It really is. I'd much rather listen to people tearing their hair out and pointing out how lacking we are because they have standards and remember a better time than those who make excuses for INEOS and the Glazers.
Carl is certainly annoying at times and Andy is highly knowledgeable but Christ does he blow his trumpet about knowing this person and that person. All said, It’s a good podcast for all the latest goings on at the club.

Nailed it.I think the problem here is I watch that show and you clearly don't. So there isn't any point in even discussng it. I hear very little insight or detailed editorial analysis / holding to account happening from the Athletic or Mitten. Practically zero, in fact. They're both close to the club and put out what the club want them to put out. That's not really edifying for me. Like posting all year about Tonali, Anderson, latterly Bruno G etc and making absolutely no comment one way or the other when we weren't even in for them when they came up for sale and what that says about the direction of the club more broadly - at the very least, that's what I expect of a top journalist. The fan channels (not just United Stand but FUTV, Webby and O'Neill - most of whom I like) don't claim to be journalists but they do eat, sleep and breathe Man United and I enjoy their insights as at least they are offering opinions and try to connect the dots rather merely reporting on what the club is doing or may be doing and leaving it at that. But I sense this is a bit like a twitter debate. Neither side is gonna change their mind!
I'm not sure what happened exactly but I know he was very anti FC once the 05/06 season started. I think he wanted to be involved in the very early planning days but essentially wanted a paid role and was told no.
It all got very weird around the Salford game when there was violence towards FC fans and loads of "judas scum" banners.

I have seen Goldbridge and the United Stand, he is an absolute tit, as are most the people who are on the show.
He makes up narratives out of thin air to spread negativity. Its genuinely comparable to what you see from the toxic politicians of today.
Its astounding when I see anyone falling for it, I guess I feel sorry for you.
Yeah I feel very sorry as I used to get suckered into that toxic channel as well but now have wised up
