If this is his last match/major or whatever, this is the way to go. An absolute fighter. That was an amazing 3rd set.

This is sensational stuff by Murray. He's been playing with complete freedom but surely now he has to think he can actually do this.

So he said he’s going to have a big operation and give it a shot. So maybe not over.

Just hope Murray can make it to Wimbledon now. Just don't play any tournaments in between.

Won't be easy but if he gets a servebot in round one he can win that with the level he showed in sets 3 and 4 tonight. Some of the body is still working fine on the Tennis court.

The reception he got was incredible and it will be something else one last time on Centre Court at Wimbledon.

Has he said that in his interview, my feed from the match has cut out. That would rule him out playing Wimbledon, ah well.

Still got a Hail Mary chance of staying in the game if the surgery is successful. I think all these tributes could inspire him.

He alluded that a big surgery is available. He said he will give it his all to try and come back.

Maybe this match gave him a bit of inspiration.

Absolute legend. What a fitting end, if that was the end.

Wouldn't bet against seeing him on the court again.

He won't be playing Wimbledon if that's the case.

He said in the interview last week the surgery would purely give him better life after Tennis, not prolong his career. Unless another option has come onto the table last few days.

More from Andy Murray: "Maybe I'll see you again. I'll do everything possible to try.

"If I want to go again, I'll need to have a big operation, which there's no guarantee I'll be able to come back from anyway, but I'll give it my best shot.“

Ah he was talking about Aussie Open specifically.

Guess he'll leave big op to after Wimbledon and see what happens but realistically he will play one more match at Wimbledon if that.

Shapo won in straights, kid looking pretty good. Complicated it a bit for himself when dropping a serve at end of 3rd set but came back strong in the tie break.

Kyrgios - Raonic tonight, serving bonanza

Nishikori and Stan got lucky today.

Nishikori was 2 sets down then his opponent suffered from bad cramp.

Stan was a set down before Gulbis retired.

Nice to get to see Roger play before I have to leave for work. Have to say he's not been great today. Looked like he was still thinking about a lie in.
Took him a while to get into things. Will have to up his game if he's to go far in this tournament.

I think he played better than vs. Istomin. The worrying thing though is that he’s spent nearly 5 hours on court for just 2 early rounds matches, and it’ll get tougher from here on in.

Anderson out to Tiafoe in 4 :eek:

On Roger, I don't expect him to get very far. Just doesn't seem sharp enough. Then again, he's proved me wrong before:D

Not that surprised to see Tiafoe get that big win. The lad is talented for sure.

R3 might could be an opportunity for the youngsters to show what they can do.

Fritz (21 y/o) vs Federer
De Minaur (19 y/o) vs Nadal

And depending on tonight we could have

Shapovalov (19 y/o) vs Djokovic

Halep must have so many tennis miles on the clock. She seems almost incapable of making it easy for herself.

Zverev - Chardy could be a potential upset.

Think Chardy will at least take a set.

Saved 2 break points, won 4 in a row to close out 2nd set. 2-0 up.

Don't think he'll bottle today.

Edit: I spoke too soon. Gave away a break with 2 consecutive DFs.

Edit*: and played an incredible point to break back. Back on serve.

Edit**: you sir are correct. Zverev choked away 3 match points and lost the set:lol:

 I'm not watching, just waiting for notifications to come in/checking the score occassionally so had no idea on the context!
