Mass shooting at a children’s party. Feck me!

Is Stockton a rough part of California?
Google search has it anywhere in the top 3 of the most violent crimes committed city in the state per capita and amongst the highest in the country. I believe it is a high gang activity city as well. I spent a few months at Travis AFB (Vacaville) in the summer 2023 and recall coworkers saying stay away from the likes of Oakland, Stockton, Modesto, and parts of San Francisco as well. Was told if you park in these areas just leave your windows down because the chances of breaking in is higher than normal; was told do not have anything of note in the car as the thief/thieves will likely scan and move on, or worse steal the vehicle.
Yes, one of the roughest in the whole countryIs Stockton a rough part of California?
Mass shooting at Brown University, upwards of 30 victims...
Heard today the suspect is still on the loose. The person they picked up has been released. The Tweet is bollocks, hugely exaggerating the numbers involved. Although it doesn't change the fact there was another shooting, the actual number of victims was 11. 2 dead and 9 injured and the shooter has been captured and is in police custody.

Just like the Trump shooting in Pennsylvania, the Charlie Kirk shooting etc... Fox News is frothing at the mouth for a trans or Muslim shooter. There's a far right, completely crazed gun loving Trump supporter from Portugal who lives in the USA on this site.....
Seriously though, it's amazing how little coverage this has got since the nationality of the shooter was discovered. You can guarantee it would have been wall to wall coverage had the guy been a Muslim or a Democrat.

El Paso Airport in Texas has been ordered to halt all flights for the next 10 days.
Local newspapers in El Paso and the New York Times cited "special security reasons".
The restrictions - imposed by the US Federal Aviation Administration - for all flights to and from El Paso airport are in place until 20 February, the airport said.
El Paso Matters quoted what it said was the order: "The federal aviation administration (faa) classifies the airspace defined in this notam as 'ntl defense airspace'. Pilots who do not adhere to the following proc may be intercepted, detained and interviewed by law enforcement/security personnel."
"The united states government may use deadly force against the airborne acft, if it is determined that the acft poses an imminent security threat," the notice added.
In 2024, more than four million passengers used the airport.
Hi y’all. El Paso City Councilmember here but also fellow avgeek. Not a usual sub for me, but here we are. We’re all trying to work out why this crazy NOTAM was issued. What I know so far (as of midnight zero six local Wednesday):
• It isn’t a typo or an error. FAA issued this NOTAM intentionally as written.
• Nobody local got advance notice. And I mean nobody — neither civilian nor military leadership.
• Military does not have carte blanche exemption. Army is fretting about their flights tomorrow just as much as everyone else.
• Albuquerque Center did not get advance notice.
What's crazy is that this doesn't seem to be on any of the national news sites. They are too common to cover. Two people were killed in a shooting at a student dormitory at South Carolina State University in the US on Thursday night, officials said.
A third person was wounded.
"University officials have not yet confirmed the victims' identities or the condition of the wounded person," the university said in a social media post Friday. "The campus remains on lockdown."

Imagine that. Crazy place we're living in when you can get gunned down and nobody bats an eye lid. What's crazy is that this doesn't seem to be on any of the national news sites. They are too common to cover.
