he wants to alienate as many people as fast as possible, there's no other explanation for the timing of this
The dems seems to be accelerating the most annoying form of the neoliberal nanny state. The things people get a mild sense of relief from is now going to be even less enjoyable and everyone better hope their rent hasn’t gone up or they haven’t got fired because student debt and addictive mental illness medication doesn’t pay for itself.

Just from a quick google this type of policy(Which might not even get approved)could backfire, as some people tend to think cigarettes with low levels of nicotine are more healthy and also could create a black market for cigarettes that have more nicotine.

Amazing work as usual from the libs.

also

Jesus that’s awful.

Who could've predicted that voting time and time again for the lesser of two evils would lead to discontent.

They are scared shitless of doing anything, while letting the Republicans walk all over them.

The Republicans are vile, but they have figured out how to win within the political system that exist. Of course, it helps that their interests are largely aligned with those of wealthy individuals and corporations.

Biden cut a deal with McConnell to give a conservative judge a lifetime appointment, in exchange for hiring two prosecutors of his choice (who will have a 2-year term). A great deal in the history of deals, as Trump would say.

It was exposed by a local paper. The tweet from the paper, and especially the journalist himself, got a lot of... let's call it skeptical pushback from Biden supporters.
Today that story was confirmed by a different reporter.

The original reporter continues to get absolute shit from Biden supporters. You can have a look here: https://twitter.com/joesonka
They literally cannot believe that their man, elected to be a bipartisan healer and deal-maker and also "the most progressive president since FDR", has (shockingly!) chosen to be just a bipartisan healer and deal-maker. And once they realise that's what he has chosen, they immediately pivot to defend the deal. Their utmost scorn is reserved for the notion that if the judge doesn't get through, the reporting deserves credit - no, it means it was fake news and like a Q drop from a Bernie bro.
It's funny that the faction that has made fact-checking, adherence to norms, respecting journalism, etc a core part of their identity can't take any of it seriously.

He also said it hours after another Dem went to hospital for a month or so, meaning they no longer have a majority.
He is now asking for people to vote to hold the house and get two more senators. The latter is doable, but then what? Not holding my breath

But the fact remains that such numbers just make his presidency less and less tenable down the road. Apparently, some polls say that around 30% of all voters would sit out in the eventuality of a potential Biden-Trump rematch.

To be very honest with everyone, I'm of the mindset that Biden should go no further than being a transitional President before someone else picks up the torch. The Dems need someone else younger, very willing to lead the push for reforms and to be strong enough to push the likes of Schumer and Pelosi into playing the same kind of game that Mitch McConnell has been playing for nearly 14 years.
