The board's performance in the last few weeks has been a disgrace.

This is not a thread about Ole but about something far deeper.
There had been warning signs something was deeply wrong with the team as far back as the loss to Young Boys all the way back in September, culminating in the loss to Leicester and Liverpool.
At that point, the belief that Ole was a dead man walking was pretty unanimous. Solskjaer's position became untenable when there were widespread leaks that he has lost the confidence of the players. This board allowed the rot to continue.
Why I make this thread is actually about the way the club has been run in the last two weeks. This board allowed the international break to pass without taking an action the entire club must have known was coming. Allowed a strange decision of giving the entire playing staff and coaches, a week off and allowed the same coach with no authority to take training again. The Watford result was inevitable and to be honest, you can't blame Ole. It is also quite clear this board did not prepare even though this form has been going on for months. How can a club be run like this?

Make it last few years.

Ole should have been sacked in the summer, left it too late and made it very toxic. Same with Jose, Van Gaal should have been sacked in December, wasted 6 months.

This board spends decent money but their lack of decision making ability is killing the club.

Agreed. This is the underlying issue with Manchester United. A badly run organisation inevitably resulting in poor performance.
But as we know, this will not change because of vested interests.

The Board are inept as feck. Unsurprisingly and sadly, it's not new and I don't see it changing until the Glazers feck off or put in a true football man at the helm to run things rather than novice investment bankers like Ed and Arnold.

It also gives me warning signs about our DoF and Technical Director, Murtough and Fletcher.
  • What has been their role in this as the link between board and playing staff?
  • How could they have watched this ship slide so badly?
  • Did they recommend action and were ignored? Questions need to be answered.
