thats the least strange thing everDidn't we already have one star wars TV show? Seems strange they'd make another
With regards to him not killing the tusken raider, I think it’s just to show he’s not this unstoppable killing machine.Overall, I liked it. The flashback to AOTC was great and the main theme slaps.
I was miffed at just how weak Boba was portrayed at times. I know he didn't have his suit but at the end I thought he could have killed that lone Tusken Raider and dog- alien thing, no problem.
Looking forward to the next six weeks.
Sure my son mentioned it comes right after Return of the Jedi. When is this set up? Pre ANH?
I believe the present day stuff is 5 years after ROTJ. The same period as Mandalorian.Sure my son mentioned it comes right after Return of the Jedi.
He was in there for five years?I believe the present day stuff is 5 years after ROTJ. The same period as Mandalorian.
Boba escaping the Sarlacc had already been covered in the comics years ago. He was in there for a while, fighting to get out.....They only showed a tiny portion in the flashback. He was in there for five years?
But they already made one show. One thing we know Hollywood doesn’t do is milk a franchise. This is so out of the ordinary.thats the least strange thing ever
Star Wars is a massive universe though. It is way more than just Jedi. There are bounty hunters, rebels and mercenaries, smugglers obviously the Mandos. There is so much they can mine more than what we see in the movies. As long as the quality stays good I am down. I liked the first episode. I thought they did a good job establishing how he was broken down and struggling to survive. They showed you how starved and dehydrated he was which would effect how he fought. He was clearly still healing etc.But they already made one show. One thing we know Hollywood doesn’t do is milk a franchise. This is so out of the ordinary.
Yep! These flashback are meant to tell us what he was doing. Maybe he left at some point and come back.He was in there for five years?
He left the Sarlacc and then came back? Now this sounds interesting.Yep! These flashback are meant to tell us what he was doing. Maybe he left at some point and come back.
Sorry, that was this new thing I’m trying out, called sarcasm. All the kids are raving about it.Star Wars is a massive universe though. It is way more than just Jedi. I like seeing how he's having to set up his enterprise and fight for it because he wants to be different. And yes the soundtrack was great imo.
Dave Filoni thats doing this one and did the Clone Wars and the Mandalorian has added some excellent depth, storylines and value to the Star Wars universe so far. This is a case of the big corporation giving a genuine chance and a big budget and freedom to someone truly deserving for a change. It's refreshing and character oriented, I personally also love the style of Favreau. It's like seeing the excellent Clone Wars saga come to life in live action format. You can tell they were labour of love from true fans. It might be slow tempo but so far having the lore and culture of Tatooine, the Tusken Raiders, and the Hutts, and previously the Mandalorians and the Death Watch clan fleshed out is like the essence of Star Wars. Cant get much better imho.I like Star Wars in general but the glut of stuff coming out with Disney trying to cash in on it is putting me off. It just feels very Marvel-esque, high production values but very low value in terms of story writing or bringing something new to the table.
Like most of the new films are okay but not great. Even the Mandalorian, I'll probably get stick for saying this, I watched 3/4s of season 1 and found it again okay, but nothing amazing. And yet it's rated something like a 9 on IMDB. Next we'll be a getting a 10 rated adventures of Jar-Jar Binks and the De Wanna Wanga guy. Though admittedly I'd watch that just based on how absurd and different it'd be.
He isn’t a Mandalorian. Wears his “fathers” armour. Jango was a Mandalorian.Slowish start but it will improve no doubt. Theres been talk for years about a star wars show showing the criminal underworld in that universe, so I guess Boba Fett will be that show.
Also what happen with the mandalorian creed for not taking their helmets off in front of others, Boba did it in episode one which was a suprise.
Or Chris O'Dowd?I hear Matt Berry voices a droid in this. Richard Ayoade did the same in The Mando, so Matthew Holness must be a shoe-in for the Obi-Wan show.
Theres another 7 or 8 shows due to launch. I agree its abit too much. However I am looking forward to the Sith specific series, "Dark Acolyte" I think it is. Also would love a Old Republic series, but New Republic is as close as we'll get to that.Stop making so much Star Wars stuff. You're killing it stupid Disney. Star Wars mystique came from the fact that it took 35 years to release 6 movies.
It's the Mandalorian with a different dude in the suit and for the love of good, just start the show with a "previously in Boba fett's life" if the plot device to explain is so blatantly fecking obvious.
Nah he's just no longer a bounty hunter. I liked episode 1The trailer started with "I'm not a bounty hunter".
Ate they retconning stuff now?
I never understood where his reputation came from in the first place. All I recall from the Original Trilogy was him giving up the high-ground and jet-packing straight into Luke for a casual merking. With regards to him not killing the tusken raider, I think it’s just to show he’s not this unstoppable killing machine.
No disintegrations this time…Was this the one they shot in Cleveley's (near Blackpool)? There was a lot of local who-har and people kept telling me to go check out how they'd set up the prom but I never bothered (cool story I know).

I was wondering myself, can't remember if it was this or Obi Wan Kenobi. Never bothered to make the short drive from Lancaster to check it out myself either. Was this the one they shot in Cleveley's (near Blackpool)?
