Gerrard sticks four fingers up to the Aberdeen fans in reference to his four Liverpool F.C. Player of the Season trophies he won at Liverpool

Steven Gerrard was left disappointed with the Rangers players after the dream of the 'treble' ended yesterday, following a 1-0 defeat to Celtic Aberdeen in the League Cup.
Speaking to Rangers State TV, Gerrard reluctantly took some responsibility for the defeat
""Everything that's gone on is on me and I'll take it, even if I don't agree with it. I pick the XI, I brought in 14 players and Jon Flanagan. It's a disappointed dressing room, the last time I saw a dressing room this disappointing was when that little cheat Andre Herrera cheated to get me sent off in 2015 at Anfield. I'm here to take responsibility, my players, my tactics, my gameplan. But my gameplan cannot be fulfilled if the players are low quality. I mean I can't make lemonade, if life is giving me cucumbers. If these cucumbers players don't step up, it's simple at a big club: the manager, who is myself, goes and finds better quality. And frankly rather buying more players, I rather just sign myself as a player, and make myself a player-manager-captain.

Steven Gerrard has revealed that he was suffering from a back injury before his infamous and costly slip for Liverpool against Chelsea.

He needed an epidural injection before the game to help deal with pain caused by a back injury, and that he perhaps shouldn’t have played at all.

“Don’t think that is an excuse,” he told the Daily Mail, discussing the upcoming new biopic of his life, ‘Make Us Dream’.

“What happened was just pure bad luck but, when you do a book or film, especially with people who have won Oscars and made films such as Amy and Senna, you must be as honest and open as you can.”

Rodgers wins Cup for feeding Cat



Glamour puss soccer boss Brendan J. Rodgers picked up yet another trophy in Scottish football on Sunday after his Celtic team won this week's Feeding The Cat Cup.

The dazzling chalice - made of 24-carat tin - became Celtic's 900th trophy of the season, which started a fortnight ago. Rodgers thus becomes the most successful Scottish manager since he forged his passport yesterday. There now follows the obligatory made-up quote, which hopefully won't get me sued back to the Stone Age for libel:

"Everybody reckons that it's easy to win major prizes in Scottish football but it takes extraordinary dedication to get a cup for feeding my cat Grand Duke Mr Winky", allegedly said Rodgers. "He's quite demanding, so I often have to wake up early to wash his bowls. In the end though, the most satisfying thing about winning this prestigious cup is the fact that Gerrard didn't."

Rodgers, accompanied by his latest girlfriend Donna Rhea, was speaking at a trophy presentation ceremony sponsored by Findus Crispy Pancakes - The Food Of The Future™.

Steven Gerrard says Craig Levein was wrong to say Rangers had 13 men against Hearts - because the travelling fans' contribution made it up to 14.

Levein said after Hearts lost 2-1 to Rangers at Tynecastle that "it was like playing against 12 men", a comment on referee Bobby Madden's performance.

He then said it was 13, referencing the assistant referee's failure to flag Rangers' winning goal offside.

"Craig's entitled to his opinion, but I am always right anyway." said Gerrard.

"Like I am when I speak about Hearts or Aberdeen or whoever it may be. I repeat again that it's only mine opinion that matters."

"I saw the interview when he said they were playing against 13 men. The only mistake I saw in the interview was that it was 1, it's just against my Majesty, Steven Amadeus Gerrard, because I was superb on the day. So it was probably just one great guy they played against."

Levein was also unhappy that Rangers goalscorer Alfredo Morelos avoided punishment, asking: "How many fouls can Morelos give away without being booked?"

But Gerrard responded: "Well, we won't talk about Alfredo but what we'll do then to make all the other managers in the league happy, I'll walk out of this league to make others more competitive.

"We'll make it non-Gerrard league, see if they all like it and then no one will complain."

Steven Gerrard was bitterly disappointed as his Rangers team knocked him out of the Europa League. Film Director Gerrard after the game stated that all he wants for Christmas is some "fecking wins and some fecking better players".
