An overlooked genre from the Caribbean is south Asian influenced music, sometimes referred to as Chutney music. It's predominantly from Trinidad, Jamaica and Guyana.

I don't know if it's overlooked but it's one of my favorite genre. And the reason I wanted to create the thread is for that exact reason, caribbean music is extremely rich, there is a lot of styles and variations.

Got a friend who's very proud of her Trini heritage and forces me to listen to soca occasionally. I always like it but never remember the names...

So here's the one Damien Marley song I know, instead.

I didn't even know this thread existed. Koffee-Toast is a good one
53 seconds in was when I went from liking the song to loving it.

I'm TwoSheds and I endorse this message.
My dancing style is heavily suited to aggressive beats. So, when one of those two Ding Dong songs are played at a party/festival/carnival that's my time to do a madness on the dance floor.
