Poor match so far. Very different Fulham team to last season but their front three on paper look impressive.

That roll around by Mitrovic would make Neymar proud. Huddersfield look fairly clueless tbh and I can’t see Siewert lasting too much longer.

Never really got that appointment, seems like it was just because he was German and at Dortmund so they just assumed he'd work like David Wagner did.

Think Huddersfield are in real danger of going down again, there's a real losing mentality running through the club.

Current championship bottom 3 (albeit after 3 games)

Huddersfield
Boro
Stoke

Someone out there probably had them as their 3 to get promoted.

After 3 games at the top no one has 100% winning record either.

Reading 1-0 Cardiff (Puscas).

Championship - round 3

Huddersfield - Fulham 1-2 (0-0)
- Cavaleiro wins the game with a superb effort
H: Grant 57 - F: Mitrovic 51, Cavaleiro 80

Fulham dominated the game entirely and took the lead 6 minutes into the second half when Alexander Mitrovic scores with a header at the far post. Huddersfield-defender Bacuna under pressure from Cavaleiro clears the ball perfectly for the Serbian to score. Karlan Grant equalizes with a header from Hadergjonais cross. Betinelli saves but the goal-line technology indicates that the ball just crossed the line. The winner came 10 minutes from time. Steven Sessegnon puts in a cross and Mitrovic pushes the ball back to Cavaleiro who curls the ball beautifully into the top corner.

Reading - Cardiff 3-0 (2-0) - Puscas magic
R: Puscas 25,40 and Swift 83

When Reading signed Rumanian international George Puscas for a new club record fee of about £8 million, they might have done the shrewdest piece of dealing of any club in the english league. Puscas was simply in a league of his own. He put Reading 1-0 up when he received the ball inside his own half. Ran down the wing, went past Vaulks and curled the ball into the far corner. He added the second in the 40th minute when he arrived at the near post to steer home John Swifts cross. In the last 10 minutes, Cardiff gambled and Reading actually came 5 against 2 in a counter-attack. John Swift who picked up the ball inside his own half, didn't need anyone and calmly slotted home for 3-0

Luton - WBA 1-2 (1-0) - sub Diangana wins the game for WBA
L: Cornick 15 - W: Diangana 48,51

Luton got off to a great start, but in the end ended up losing to a much better WBA-side. Harry Cornick headed Luton ahead after 15 minutes following a great cross from Martin Cranie. But 2 goals from on-loan West Ham midfielder Grady Diangana turned the match around within minutes of coming on a sub for Kyle Edwards at half-time. First he fired into the bottom corner from 25 yards, and 3 minutes later he was alert and headed home a deflected shot by Filip Krovinovic. Lutons first home-defeat since march 2018.

Nottingham - Birmingham 3-0 (2-0) - Easy win for Forest
N: Lolley 15, Grabban 22, Dawson 65

Nottingham took their first win of the season with a convincting performance against Birmingham. Joe Lolley who was player of the year at Forest last year gave, scored the opener after Birmingham fell asleep on a Nottingham freekick. The ball was rolled to him, he advanced and fired home from 25 yards. Lolley turned provider when he sent in a delightful cross for Lewis Grabban to head home. Michael Dawson finished Birmingham off when he headed home Alfa Semedo's corner in the 65th minute.

Millwall - Sheffield W 1-0 (1-0) - Millwall win with 10 men
M: Smih 37 - Red Card - M: Wallace

Wednesday will be wondering how they lost this game after having 70 percent of the ball and won shots by 21-3, but Millwall fought like the Lions they are meant to be and won despite having 10 men for most of the game. Tall striker Matt Smith scored the only goal of the game when keeper Keiran Westwood completely missed a corner to the far post, and Smith headed into the open goal. Just before the break Jed Wallace was given a straight red card when he went in hard on Kieran Lee. But Sheffield Wednesday never managed to break down the 10-men Millwall, and lost 1-0

Wigan - Leeds 0-2 (0-1) Bamford struck twice for Leeds
L: Bamford 34, 65

Wigan made it all too easy for Leeds when former Everton-youngster Joe Williams was sent off in his homedebut. First he brought down Steward Dallas before getting a second yellow when he hacked down Patrick Bamford. Bamford took his revenge when he scored 13 minutes later. Forshaws header hit the post and Bamford rolled the rebound into the net. Bamford got the second when he poked the ball over the line after Dallas had flicked on a right-side corner.

Blackburn - Middlesbrough 1-0 (1-0) Blackburn get their first win of the season
B: Graham 25 (P)

Manager Jon Woodgate must already start to feel the pressure after his team put up an absymal performance against Blackburn. The winner came from the penalty spot after defender Anfernee Dijksteel for some strange reason pulled Danny Graham's shirt with the experienced striker not threatening the goal. The striker took the penalty himself and scored easily.

Stoke - Derby 2-2 (1-1) Stoke dominated but failed to take their chances
S: Lindsay 32, Hogan 56 - D: Waghorn 2, 70 (P)

Martyn Waghorn gave Derby the lead on 2 minutes when he steered home Kieran Dowells clever pass. Joe Allen hit the post from 1 yard out before Liam Lindsay equalized on 32 minutes after a corner from the right. Scott Hogan gave Stoke the lead on 56 minutes. A long pass forward by keeper Butland, Derby fell asleep and Gregory squared for Hogan to stab home. With 20 minutes to play Derby were awarded a penalty. George Evans advanced into the box and waws brought down by Tommy Smith. Waghorn made no mistakes and equalized. Stoke still without a win.

Barnsley - Charlton 2-2 (1-1) Charlton save a point at the end
B: Woodrow 34, Chaplin 48 - C: Gallagher 40, Taylor 89 (P)

The match will be remembered for Cauley Woodrows insane 1-0 goal. With his back to goal, he flicked the ball up, turned around and hammered the ball on the volley into the top corner from 20 yards out. Charlton equalized before the break after some delightful football. Williams crossed from the right and Conor Gallagher calmly put the ball in the net. New signing Conor Chaplin restored the lead just after the break. He dodged a few challenges before scoring from 10 yards. With a minute left to play Conor Gallagher was brought down and Charlton got a penalty. In-form striker Lyle Taylor, walked up to the penalty before rolling it home with. 21 goals last season, 3 goals in 3 matches this season for the 29 year old.

Bristol City - QPR 2-0 (1-0) First win of the season for Bristol City
B: Nagy 35, Afobe 59

Bristol City grabbed their first win of the season they beat QPR by 2-0. Adam Nagy scored the first goal of the game when a failed clearance landed at his feet, and the Hungarian international drove the ball home from 20 yards. Benik Afobe scored the second goal after some defensive play by QPR that looked like amateur-night. QPR threw the ball towards their own goal, and defender Barbet tried to head the ball back to his own keeper and missed the ball. Keeper Lumley raced out to kick the ball away and completely miskicked, and Weimann with an overhead kick got the ball back in front of goal. The ball eventually landed with Benif Afobe who hammered the ball into the empty net.

Swansea - Preston 3-2 (1-1) Swansea still undefeated after 3 games.
S: Baston 45+4, 69 and Byers 63 - P: Rafferty 11, Johnson 67 (P)

Swansea off to a good start with 7 points from 3 games following their hard-fought win against Preston. Joe Rafferty gave Preston the lead with a low shot from 20 yards. Keeper Woodman should have saved the effort which went in at the near post. A late equalizer from Borja Baston after a cut-back from Connor Roberts. George Byers made it 2-1 after Baston first missed Collina's low cross, but the ball fell perfectly for Byers who drilled home from 13-14 yards. Preston equalized through Daniel Johnson on penalty. Roberts tried to head the ball out but sent Maguire to the ground. Baston got the winner just 2 minutes later following yet another good Swansea-attack. Collina advanced on the left, Jake Bidwell with a fine over-lap and chipped his cross to Baston who hammered his header home from 6 yards out.

Brentford - Hull 1-1 (0-0) Draw in action-packed game
B: Watkins 73 - H: Bowen 53

A draw was a fair result in an action-packed match between Brentford and Hull. It lasted until the 53 minute before someone broke the deadlock. Jarred Bowen scored after substitute Leonardo da Silva Lopes found him in space with a cute pass. Lopes made his league debut following his summer move from Wigan and Bowen continues to build on his reputation as the perhaps property outside the Premier League. He scored 22 goals last season and already has 2 goals in the first 3 matches. Brentford equalized 20 minutes later, and just like last weekend it was the combination of Sergi Canos and Ollie Watkins doing the damage. Canos with a low cross and Watkins got the ball into the back of the net in a duel with Hull-goalkeeper George Long.

Lyle Taylor continues his Dream start to the season. Scored in every Charlton game so far this season. A late breakthrough for Taylor who turns 30 in march

Great to see that sacking Pulis and playing a more attractive style of football is working so well for Stoke.

I’m sure this post will jinx it but Leeds having the same problems as last year.
74% possession today but just not creating anything meaningful.

Fulham had 89% possession at half time. Made 453 passes to Millwall's 30 odd in that half.

Incredible.

Caveleiro is a great name. Makes me think of the Canyonero song from The Simpsons.

Wow Stoke getting battered, think their 18 tonight cost about 60m plus god knows what in wages given Butland and Joe Allen stayed.

Always found Butland an overrated keeper, another bad error tonight.

Can see them sacking Nathan Jones during the international break.

Butland conceded 8 from 13 shots faced before tonight.

I've grown to really enjoy the Championship over the past few years to be honest.

A friend of mine is a Sheffield Wednesday fan so we've been to many games together, and one of my other mates is a Charlton season ticket holder so I will be going to a few games with him this year too.

Makes a nice change from purely watching the Premier League.

How do we expect the likes of Wednesday and Charlton to get on this season?

Lyle Taylor is a beast. I have a ticket going for Charlton's match on saturday against Brentford if anyone is in the area and wants it.

The Fulham-Millwall game sounds crazy, would be interesting to watch something so one sided.

Shows how much relegation and stagnation can wobble your head.

Some players don’t have the mentality to cope in those situations and it seems like this group are unable to deal with it. Same thing happened with Sunderland.

So the Swans won again. Interesting appointment in Cooper, man who won the U17 World Cup with England last year.

Really wish I could catch Preston's games
