He's 22 and has only played 1 full game of football at senior level. He's also barely played any youth football over the last couple of years.

Any club signing him is taking a big gamble.

This is what I mean when I say there’s something massively wrong with us in that department and gave countless examples on here a few days ago where far smaller clubs have sold players for so much more than us to other clubs even smaller, whether it’s our loan department or our negotiating team I’m not sure but Collyer going for £3 million when he’s played PL and European football is simply fecking insane
 
I am starting to wonder now whether United are actually not keen to sell Rashford themselves looking at the current market. They probably feel that a replacement would cost a lot more and so are penny pinching. I understand his wages but every other winger on the market has been sold.

Zirkzee should have been told to find a new club at the end of last season. No manager has used him.

Why are we letting him decide if he wants to stay?

If Rashford was on Zirkzee's wages, he would have been sold for a pretty penny. If Zirkzee was on a quarter of the wage, he would be gone. He was given a long contract so we are hamstrung with the amount we need to ask for to turn a profit. He is just a really bad purchase.

I do t think they are comparable; I can’t imagine Zirkzee is on massive wages and if he has any ambition, he should want to play football. He s been here a couple of years now and we only paid about £35m. he’s not been that bad that he’s not worth two-thirds of that as a transfer fee.

It just irks me that what’s being reported largely seems to be be ‘if he wants to go, we’ll look at options but if he wants to stay then that’s fine’. Do you think Chelsea gave Liam Delap an option?

In no way do I want us to do transfers more like Chelsea.

Someone posted all the Ten Hag signings earlier in the week. Most of them have left on free's, or are still in the squad and worth little, like Mount. We got 1/4 of the original price on Antony and around half back for Hojlund.

When people complain about United being shit sellers, it's due in large part due to the crap we bought under Ten Hag.
 
We are very unfortunate that we seem to be the only club whose players are not mercenaries. We’ve been the only club unable to get a slice of the Saudi pie, when we could have made hundreds of millions there in recent years if our available players did not simply refuse to go there.

Saudi clubs have been interested in Rashford for a couple of years. A player of his profile would have probably gotten us at least 70m. But he isn’t interested in Saudi money. Or Turkish money. Only Spanish money. Antony had Saudi interest last summer but alas, Betis or nothing. Casemiro a year ago. Refused to go to Saudi. Garnacho - no to Saudi, Chelsea only. Even Bruno, who of course was not dead wood, but another case where 100m was on the table but the player refused.

There are probably others I can’t think of right now, but our players don’t make it easy on us. Then we get bad luck with Ugarte who seemed to have suitors where there was mutual interest.

Loan, end of contract, minimal fee....i cant remember a good sale weve made since dan james....and before that got to go back nearly as far.
 
Woodward and Ten Hag ruined us. I don't blame the players, most players won't say no to us especially on massive wages.

Woody certainly ruined the wage structure and Ten Hag was given far too much say on transfers
 
Too many 'won't go' players we can't sell to buyers for higher fees - Zirkzee, Rashford included
Too few buyers for 'will go' players - hence we're selling to EFL clubs for low fees
