Binged this today.. absolutely loved it. One of the best dark dark comedy I have ever watched. Two leads' performance was amazing. In 2 minds if I want a second season of this given the way S1 ended.
I noticed that from the trailer. Makes it look kinda interesting I guess, and I never think the UK looks well on film usually anyway.Watched one ep, not really moved me. Bit weird as they have made look American even though it’s in England.
I think that filming it with an American hue, that kind of idealistic middle class suburban life you see portrayed on so many shows, is to contrast with the awfulness of the protagonists and the general darkness of the show, perhaps?I noticed that from the trailer. Im 3 eps in and I think weve given up.I’m on the last episode of the season. Takes a while to get fully going, wasn’t sure about it at the start. You need to stick with it.
I think it got better with every episode and I liked the ending.
The ending was a bit heartbreaking for me but yes it did suit the somewhat dark and bleak attitude of the series. Do you think they will do a second season and rejig it?

They joke about it in the series, something along the lines of "if it was a movie, we would've been American"Watched one ep, not really moved me. Bit weird as they have made look American even though it’s in England.
It's a bit weird. I do like the locations, think it's filmed in Surrey, some of the houses are the individually architecturally designed houses from the 1960s, bit like George Best's old place, they were modern back then but just look weird now, great for the series. They joke about it in the series, something along the lines of "if it was a movie, we would've been American"
Wasn't convinced by his job in this show. He was far too meek to be a higher ranking copper.Super Hans!
In the episode I've watched he just acted pretty much identically to Super Hans which made him seem all the more amusing. But aye, quite incompetent.Wasn't convinced by his job in this show. He was far too eek to be a higher ranking copper.
Yeah he was basically Super Hans not on drugsIn the episode I've watched he just acted pretty much identically to Super Hans which made him seem all the more amusing. But aye, quite incompetent.
It was probably the 4th ep before I started wanting to know what would happen in the end.I've watched the first two but I'm not getting all the hype yet. I'm going to stick with it and see where it goes, even though I'm not really feeling the urge to watch the next one.
Bet it didn't take you half as long as it took me to work out where I'd seen the blonde lezzer cop before. I decided I'd test my brain, instead of looking her up. Took me four full flipping episodes for the penny to drop.Ah! He's the guy from the Shut Up And Dance episode in Black Mirror. Took me a while.
Holy shit, never copped it was her.Bet it didn't take you half as long as it took me to work out where I'd seen the blonde lezzer cop before. I decided I'd test my brain, instead of looking her up. Took me for full flipping episodes for the penny to drop.
Agree with people about it getting better as the season goes on. I think that's because it takes you a few episodes to care about the protagonists. At the beginning they're such cold fish you don't give a shit about them, which makes it hard to get invested in their story.
I see what you did there.Holy shit, never copped it was her.
Yes, I am definitely that clever and that was my intention...I see what you did there.
