The US Department of Justice and FBI have concluded that sex offender Jeffrey Epstein did not have a so-called client list that could implicate high-profile associates, and that he did take his own life - contradicting long-held conspiracy theories about the infamous case.

Nonsense.

It was a honey trap. It existed to collect information on people. Obviously there was a list (and more than that). His wife had done the same thing on a boat which her father had done before her.

This level of collusion and flagrant lying would have been alarming once upon a time, but it's standard fare these days. Between this and Diddy, how many powerful offenders have been protected?
 
It'll never, ever come out in some "freedom of information act" 50/60 years down the road either because this administration will burn the papers and hard drives and put the ashes on a rocket to space.
 
I'm going to "zag" from the underlying ideas noted above. I think there is a genuine case to be made that "the list" was a conservative conspiracy from the get go. For years "the list" has been used to extend the Qanon conspiracies that democrats, liberals and celebs are all pedo's and that would be the justification for Trump to literally usher in a dictatorship and execute all opposition. That is the "hardcore" conspiracy theorists.

What you have with Bondi, trump and his cabal was basically weaponising this stuff as a "soft" conspiracy. They kept it a live because it suited their narratives etc. With Elon going full "trump is a pedo", the conspiracy has started pissing back into the tent and now we have this nonsense.

I think people should be very careful when conflating between the horrific crimes of Epstein / Prince Andrew / Maxwell etc and then falling into the trap of "there is a list of names of well known pedo's that epstein was blackmailing". You don't need an actual list of names for Maxwell to be convicted of her crimes either. There was plenty of ways to convict her. The most rational explanation is that the conspiracy run by conservatives is backfiring onto them and now they have to come clean to save Trump's ass. I'd be highly sceptical of any theories that are rooted in "all my political enemies are pedo's and there's a list to prove it".

I could be completely wrong, but i'll fall on the side of complexity over neat and tidy explanations.

Loath to use MTG as a source, but in a recent interview she said that she believes all the information related to Epstein has been destroyed. And the only way it can come out is if one of the other nations, who have it, go ahead and release it.

Thing is, some victims have already named and stated there were other rich and powerful people involved. While you're right about the right wing conspiracies, this really does look like there was an international client list involved just from the testimony and publicly available information.

I'm more than open to the idea of powerful people being pedos. :lol: Hell i'd say it's a certainty that some powerful people were only friends with him because he could access minors. Where i start to worry is that in desire to fling shit back at Trump, there is a chance to legitimise what alex jones et al. are doing with little solid evidence that any of this is real, beyond the actual crimes committed by epstein and his cohort, including the powerful people that were likely pedos.

Could I see names connected to hotels, flights, phone contacts being close to a legitimate version of "the list", sure. But again, I worry what this is actually becoming is an imaginary piece of paper that people are "wish casting" names on to to either further push the Qanon/conservative conspiracies or help jam Trump up.

She dropped the case after death threats.

Whether they found a literal list is not the same as whether there was a list (or just information stored in a format that isn't a neatly bullet pointed list which conveniently has all of the incriminating evidence on anyone Epstein ever procured for)

Unfortunately that is the conservative conspiracy. They want a list of names, preferably democrats and liberal celebs to keep the Qanon ideas festering.

wouldn't doubt her for a minute. But that is a different story to my concerns about whether people are falling into the trap of a conservative conspiracy theory that's spiraling out of control because of Musk, or this may be a legit cover up. Taking things as gospel in the world of Elon, Alex Jones and Twitter fascists makes me nervous for actual credibility to come to the fore.

The funny thing is when you lie and lie, no one will believe you when you tell the truth (not to say that I know what the full truth is in this case, only that Trump and his cronies are somehow involved). The problem is we haven’t figured out a way to make people pay for this yet.

The hilarious thing is they already did when they gave Elon access to all the government systems. Based on how hard they pushed DOGE and all the stories from different departments on forcing DOGE to have admin access, Elon is actually one person I believe has seen most of the files since going snooping around is exactly what I imagine him doing instead of actually looking for waste and fraud.
 
For once I hope the media actually bites into something and not let it go. There is too much smoke for their to not be a fire here but yet again it will probably be forgotten about and buried soon bc the journos keep moving on to new new headlines to sell their clicks.

if minor celebs have been involved in all sorts of heinous sex related nonsense for decades without being exposed, incredibly rich people who are used to getting whatever they want and have whole industries dedicated to fulfilling all kinds of fantasies, who'd be surprised at a private tropical paradise island where young girls and boys were trafficked for sex. and even the most careful billionaire gets waylaid by thinking with his dick when the opportunity presents itself.
