I don't know of many doubting the seriousness and scale, it's just we should apply rigorous critical thinking to all the accusations and not just blindly believe or disbelieve them all.

Of course there are reasons for them to withhold the files (which is against the law and which they shouldn't do, to be clear) whether he's innocent of them or not. They make him look very bad, whether true or not, so it's really naive to say 'if he's innocent there's no reason for him to try to bury them'.
Again to be clear I hate trump, think he's a war criminal, a callous, evil sex offender and one of the worst things to happen to the world in some time.
I’m not referring to all the speculation and AI generated bollocks, just the facts of what we know to be true and what’s in the Epstein files. These warrant testimonies, and investigations, and that are being investigated but maybe not by DoJ who’s not doing their job and are seemingly covering things up.
If Trump is completely exonerated then he’ll have no problem at all helping the investigations, telling all he knows and help tracking down the perpetrators so that justice can be achieved for the victims.
Ahhh yes, the altruistic side of Trump.
And Pam Bondi, who’s been appointed by Trump, who spends more time on her makeup than prosecuting the offenders. The facts are that apart from Epstein and Maxwell themselves, nobody has been prosecuted.
And the mad thing is that nobody in the US even LOOKS like getting investigated, really. At least in Europe some of those implicated are starting to be looked at more closely but in the US there seems to be no appetite to hold them accountable, where it matters. Crazy.
Edit: I guess there are some token superficial hearings for people Trump doesn't like (see Clintons) but no concerted attempt to prosecute.
Things will change when there’s a new administration. And currently Trump is alienating both the left as well as the right. I think that this administration has lost a lot of the support, if not most, that voted for him previously. The MAGA movement’s fecked.
And if later in the year new scandals and allegations arise about Trump and his relationship with Epstein, and I think they will but later in the year, then Trump will be resigning.

A Ukrainian born Jew who the FBI referred to as the "boss of bosses" of the Russian mafia, but was removed from the FBI's most wanted list in December 2015 and never spoken about again.
After reading Craig Unger's work, I lean toward the idea that its this guy who has Trump (and others) by the balls and perhaps acts as a broker to other parties, though he's ultimately beholden to the FSB. After Robert Maxwell died it was discovered he was working for Mogilevich, helping provide Israeli passports for the Russian mob, so there's the Epstein connection. I need to re-read those books because I've forgotten half the things that make it obvious Trump is compromised. Its a very deep rabbit hole of global organised crime.

I wish I had your confidence. I don't foresee these people ever willingly giving up power now, they have too much to lose and I don't see who is going to forcibly remove them. It won't be any of the three letter agencies, or what's left of them.

Here's a Trump timeline that was read out in the Senate yesterday. He's a tad slow but incredibly precise in what he's saying.
Here's the thing. Trump and Bondi and everyone at the DoJ who has been asked have said that they weren't going to release anymore files and that they were done with it all.
Bondi and the DoJ released 47,000 files that were missing from the second drop of files last month. Again, we were told there was nothing in them and that they wouldn't be released.
Bondi then got a subpoena to appear in front of the House Committee and the next thing you know these 47,000 files get dropped. Coincidentally at roughly the same time Trump goes all in against Iran.
As of yet, the official word is no more files will be released. But you have to ask why she released these anyway. Was it because she has been subpoenad? Was it an attack against Trump who behind the scenes has reportedly been saying he's done with her? Was it to distract from Iran or done while it was going on to bury them?
It all stinks to high heaven and the one thing we do know is it's not going away, no matter how much Trump wants it to. He's set a precedent calling for Hillary and Bill to testify and pushing Bondi to subpoena them. Now the committee can easily say they can call anyone.
Social media is not letting this go and just because it's out of network news cycles for the minute doesn't mean they won't go back to it at a later date.
As for the remaining files, well they have apparently unearthed even more files now, so the pressure from the likes of Massie and Mace is even higher now as they are determined to get to the bottom of it all.

It is difficult for me to take the Russia angle seriously when you look at the actual power dynamics. While Epstein’s network was clearly full of trafficked Russian (+ Eastern European) women used for kompromat, the idea that he was "Putin’s wealth manager" or a KGB asset is nonsense. Putin is not trusting his fortune to a loudmouthed rando in New York who was still desperately begging for a meeting with the Kremlin as late as 2018. It's just not feasible. The Russia narrative is just a convenient political club used to bash the current administration by linking foreign policy to old scandals. I'm surprised they haven't made Epstein a CCP agent!!!
The Israeli connection has way more documented connective tissue that people like Whitehouse conveniently ignore. Robert Maxwell had a state funeral in Israel attended by intelligence heads and prime ministers because those ties were deep and historical. Former PM Ehud Barak was a regular guest of Epstein and took millions in "investments" from him, yet he is framed as a side character rather than a primary link. When Alex Acosta said "Epstein belonged to intelligence" and gave him a super lenient deal, logic says he meant Mossad. The DOJ does not give sweetheart deals to KGB assets, they give them to people protected by strategic allies. The Maxwell-Mossad-Barak triangle is a much more direct line of influence than any theory about Moscow.

Russia for starters hasnt bought out 85% of US Congress, nor do you suffer any political, economic or cultural ramifications for speaking harshly of the Russian state.
I don't doubt Russia's electoral influence or even the possibility of them possessing kompromat on certain politicians. But they're not even in the same stratosphere as Israel when it comes to completely subduing the media and political apparatus of the US. I agree that their influence is heavily exaggerated in order to distract from what's been the real toxic foreign lobbying presence within the US.
Thankfully it does appear that more Americans are increasingly reaching that realisation.
I'm not denying what you say there and actually agree, the same as @Suedesi said too. I still think though that the Russia connection cannot be so easily overlooked when Trump's financial ties to Russia are so well know or when you look at how soft Trump has been to Russia and Putin and how he's done everything in his power to help them, not call them out, blame them or hold them accountable for anything. Or his refusal to do anything to Russia that might hurt Putin or the Russian economy.
Israel absolutely have the bigger hold and influence over the US government, media and financial system but I think both Russia and Israel both have serious sway and hold over Trump.
Changing the subject back to the files though. This is an interesting snippet from Massie regarding how Trump spoke to him and it echoes exactly how MTG said he spoke to and treated her over her pursuit of the release of the files too.

It's just taken a back burner to the war stuff but it is not going away. Trump thinks he can keep distracting from it all the time but what he's overlooking is as he's doing that more evidence is being discovered.
Massie and co aren't letting this go and they are compiling evidence and fighting to get the rest of the files released.
The longer it goes on the more questions Trump is going to have to answer (or refuse to) from either the press or the House committee if he gets subpoenad to appear in front of them. Of course, depending on the evidence found it could eventually mean he has to answer criminal charges too,.although with Trump that's highly unlikely.
I heard a promising theory the other day as to why it's taking so long to bring anyone in for questioning or bringing charges is simply because Trump would pardon them all.
The recent files released have some very damaging stuff in for Trump if true and can be proved. More positive news came yesterday when the three Alexander brothers were found guilty of sex trafficking. One of those who accused the brothers has also implicated Trump in her evidence too.

This is just the tip of the iceberg. The reason why it’s quiet is in part due to attacking Iran, but also because everyone investigating from journalists to the cops will be spending the coming month or two investigating.

Sadly, I have lost any hope or faith in him ever being held accountable for anything he does or has done.
Trump has shown signs of things getting to him lately with his snarky and often rude comments to news reporters, especially female ones. He's also refused to answer questions and cut short and stormed out whilst refusing to ask anymore questions. The press just need to keep up hammering him and following up their questions and stop letting him off the hook.
That's pretty much what I said too and I just hope that is the case. Although, as I said above I've got no faith that it will amount to anything where Trump is concerned.
Yeah, my response wasn’t entirely serious. It was one of the ”we’ve got him!!” jokes that were going around during his first term.
I honestly think that even if a video of him raping a kid were to be released it wouldn’t make enough people turn on him to remove him from the presidency. I mean at this point everyone knows what he’s like and what he’s likely done and still he’s catching less heat than Obama did for wearing a wrong-coloured suit. My only hope is we’re only stuck for him for the next few years and he doesn’t pull a constitution-ripping rabbit out of the hat to stay in office.
