That one gives a better report and understanding of things but it's clear both Epstein's accountant and his lawyer are not on the same page and Kahn is hiding things.
First Richard Kahn testified the woman did receive a eettlement. Then the same afternoon during his deposition when asked about the woman again, he and his lawyer said they were mistaken and they didn't recognise the lady in question as someone who had filed a claim against the Epstein estate.
The very next day (March 12th) Kahn's lawyer stold Democratic oversight staff attorneys that the lady they called Jane Doe 4 had in fact filed a claim but it had been denied and no settlement had been reached. That was also found to be untrue.
However, again later that very same day Kahn's lawyer called back and said he could no longer stand by the previous claim that no settlement had been reached and he could neither confirm or deny wether a settlement had actually occured.
So, in total they gave four different answers within a day of the initial testimony. They said that they had become uncertain they recognised the lady in question due to there being so many women involved, they made nearly 200 settlements in total. They also said because she was never referred to by name they couldn't be sure if she was one of those women or not.
I think it's quite obvious they either couldn't get their story straight or agree on what was going to be said. It's also very likely, there was pressure or interference and possibly threats from other parties as to what should be said.
I personally think the final response given shows that there was indeed a payment made, but that's just my opinion. The committee have asked for Kahn to come clean about what he knows as they are unhappy at his responses to not only this question but many others they asked him too. He originally testified he had no knowledge of Epstein's involvement with any sex trafficking ring or abuse of any women or underage girls.
Again, as with everything surrounding this whole disgusting business, the truth appears to be behind hidden. Like Ghislaine Maxwell, Kahn is repeatedly changing his testimony and his answers to the questions he's asked.
I'm not disputing any of those facts. The Tweet, given its character limit, suggested there was clear evidence of one thing when the reality is muddier. I provided the link I did as those were House Democrats and individuals who would be looking for wrongdoing.
We have an unreliable witness and a constantly changing story. That may be because of pressure, or it may just be a very bad witness.
Why doesn’t Tbag just pardon himself now, and save everyone a lot of existential pain, instead of waiting for his party to get trounced in the next election? He’s said that the President can pardon himself, and it’s going to be a constitutional crisis when tries to pull that rabbit out of his hat.
There's a few State investigations going on and one of the Dems said he was going to see if they could get the crimes tried in the states they happened in simply because they are expecting Trump to pardon anyone of Federal crimes. I recall a plea for all states to carry out their own investigations too.

Well the initial tweet said:

My point was that this was not accurate.
The accountant's testimony was not definitive. They did change their story but there was no positive confirmation like the tweet suggested. I then linked to a statement from two House Democrats (hardly sympathetic to Trump), and their take on this was more measured then the tweet as well.
All I would say is that the sheer number of women and girls who were trafficked and abused (and paid off and silenced) could suggest that there was a genuine confusion here. It is also possible that they are lying and covering up.
My only point was that the initial presentation of this testimony was not accurate, and suggested that the media was not reporting a story, but the story was not as it was presented.
So this happened yesterday but was kept off the MSM who just focused on Bondi and the Dems walking out.....

Brunel's legal representation back then was Joe Titone. Titone is the father of Jackie Sandler, Adam Sandler's wife.
