Cavani was phenomenal last night and it would be very sad to see him go at the end of the season. Likewise, Zlatan did an amazing job for us on and off the pitch.

It seems that these legendary, experienced CFs really drive their teammates on to hit higher heights with their commitment, experience and the way they demand service.

My question is, with the impact these two players have had, should we now always be on the lookout for an older striker? They often seem to be very undervalued by the market...what’s 20 goals a season worth?

Personally, it’s the one position I don’t really care about longevity. If a player gets 15/20 goals I don’t care how old they are or how long they stick around...it’s a specialist position

Secondly, if Cavani does go, which legendary, combative, formerly world-class CF might fit the bill to replace him? Dare I suggest....Luis Suarez? Maybe Lewandowski? Or even Ronaldo?

For rotation yeah but I'd prefer one of our "own" to be the main man.

Pretend inferiority and encourage his arrogance.
Ole has already said he wouldn’t consider Aguero so couldn’t see that happening but does fit the bill and is a quality player.
Yeah I can't see it happening either... but in the cavani / Zlatan ethos of a top striker available for free then aguero is the standout option this summer

Will be a good signing for somebody but it won't be us

Aguero has been a great player, and even if we put his City connections aside he’s a shadow of the payer he once was - both performance and fitness wise.

Really think Ole's plan is to persuade Edi to have one year in front of the Old Trafford fans then during next season really roll out the red carpet to Haaland in preparation to go all in for him next summer, think if that ultimately fails then would fully expect a move for Kane later IF he is still on the market then of course

I hope Cavani stays one more season. If not then maybe Diego Costa. One year younger than Cavani too.

Scored 20+ goals for Chelsea 2 seasons in a row.

We should always do that from now on. I like me a proven goalscorer up front with great experience, leadership and movement.

Would like to have Vardy. His style of play is similar to Cavani. Hardworker, reasonably fit, good movement, and good finisher.

At his age, maybe he wouldn't mind as squad player in a bigger Club. Especially if Leicester doesn't get the CL spot and we are.

I do not think he will come who is full loyal to his club. When he was prime age, he should be interested by many bigger clubs but he chose to stay. So i do think he will stay until he retires or the club needs money.

Lewa, if Bayern sign Haaland. Benzema, if Real sign Haaland.

Aguero is not a bad backup option if neither of the aforementioned scenarios happen.

His last dip on big money move might have tempted him. Or leaving a bit legacy. But you could be right.
