The Game's Gone thread

The game was briefly back when Sunderland uploaded the initial clip, but it's gone again after this from Rogers.

Uefa gives ‘reluctant’ approval for domestic games to be played abroad this season

  • Governing body says go-ahead shouldn’t set precedent
  • Barcelona poised to play in US, and Milan in Australia
The games gone....to Australia. Wonder will do like a world cup draw like in the first bowl will have the destinations and 2nd bowl have rest of the teams, first ball out loses their proper home advantage to be the home team in Adelaide or where ever

Yep.

It's been a slow, painful road to this point but the Premier League will be next within a year or so. It might start with the Community Shield.
Unfortunately I'd say United would be at the head of the queue for this.
Spurs & Chelsea too

They'd all probably vote for it. If anything, it's probably better for a team like Bournemouth who'd make a hell of a lot more than they would on a normal matchday.

We got them to scrap the European super league at least for now.

Similar backlash might mean the same thing happens when they inevitably try it.

Just read that CL from 27/28 will have only one game Tuesday will and the rest will be played in Wed and Thu.
The more games are on TV I have less will to watch them.

Months of Scholes talking about how ill equipped Hojlund was/is

Today reading he can’t fathom why we replace Hojlund with another young striker

Loved him as a player…but he’s insufferable in the media. Never happy with anything the club does

If you read the Caf he isn't alone.

Those two points don’t contradict each other, if what he meant was that Højlund wasn’t good enough, so we should have replaced him with a mature striker ready to make a big impact. Not saying I agree, but you can definitely make that point.

Yeah I get that. He’s just never happy

What a rubbish country.
More a case of rubbish international fixtures now. Holland have had some great forwards. RvN, Van Basten etc RvN scored 35 goals. Depay has scored 54. Whose the better finisher ? How many would RvN have scored against Gibraltar ?

Scholes strikes me as having a warped perception that football management is very easy due to playing under the GOAT for his whole career.

He was referring to why we replace a bad/non performing striker with another who might have the same issues. We all know that football players aren't the best with words, c'mon.

British players with just their first name on their shirt.

Players putting their first names on the back of their shirts now.

Game's gone.

Edit: Oh crap, V.O. beat me to it.

You'll never guess what Brazilians have been doing since the early 20th century

And the portuguese, and spanish, and latin americans in general

Also some balkans

The Brazilians don't do that. Zico's first name wasn't Zico. A moniker is perfectly acceptable, as long as that's what you're known as. But if you're Bernardo Silva and put "Bernardo" on the back of your shirt, that's just ridiculous. No matter how long you've been getting away with that sort of frivolity in the Latin South.

Also, I am mainly joking.
