Don’t disagree but he may fit into our budgeting better and with the “premier league proven” factor plus manageable wages (I’d imagine) he could be a good pickup.
Would they sell us him and Fernandes though?

I don't really want him at anything close to that price, so trying to find a way to price a double deal that makes both fees palatable would be good. 100m for example.

Tzolis looked full of potential but off the PL pace when at Norwich, so there is a question mark there.
Unless we are buying a 9-year old for £25m, anything north of £50m and we should just be targeting Diomande for the £80m. There is no point getting a band-aid and wasting money.

I don't see any of that, seems like pure speculation. Dorgu played as a winger because that's where his best performances have been. Recent interviews from players also seem to think he will show even more in that position next season.

His ‘best position’ mattered little when the team had already achieved their objectives for the system. There has obviously been acknowledgment of Dorgu’s ability as an option in both roles. Repeated journalists have referenced this summer that our ‘plans depend on whether we see Dorgu as a forward or defender’, or that we ‘see Dorgu as more of a winger’. It has obviously been a topic of conversation, there is no such debate as to whether Cunha is a forward or defender.
The sensible thing would have surely been to have had a look at some point over the six months. If we acknowledge his capacity for both, why not play him there once even when we had secured our targets?
It was a debate when Dorgu arrived yes, not so since Carrick has arrived. I think its pretty clear he is being developed now as a winger due to his performances there. From the beginning Carrick has viewed him as a winger and the latest talk is that that is how the players and coaches see him. If they believe his future lies as a winger then there is no point trying him at fullback. Rather than viewing as a potential solution for left back and a need to buy another left winger, view it as a solution to depth at left wing and now a need to focus on getting a Shaw replacement.
The conclusion is obvious, my point is that Carrick has seemingly made it without even looking at him in both positions. That is more what I have an issue with.
Worth noting that Bazoumana Toure, who had some on here bizarrely excited when United were vaguely linked the other week, was completely poor and anonymous for Ivory Coast the other day (while Diomande was shining and Amad scoring).

We did well to get Dorgu for 25m, theres going to be some inflation in the market.

Anyone that gets linked to the Dippers is always a Dipper from the moment they were concepted.
He said his dad was a Liverpool fan, but then again his dad was a PSG fan a few weeks before that.
Anyway, I dont personally think we'll be in for him unfortunately, simply because he's more of a right winger who's ambidextrous.
Im not saying he can't play LW as hes played there before, but it looks his favoured position and the one hes most comfortable in is RW.
I also think he's Liverpool bound unless Bayern step in.

I like Summerville but I wouldn’t be spending 50m on him, and I agree if your spending that sort of money you’d be as well as increasing it and going for a more elite option.
I’m still not totally sold on the idea that we need a winger. If it was going to ruin the budget I’d rather just keep Cunha & Dorgu as the options and fix midfield and defence.

Love the player, he has been sensational for the NT, but not sure if his body will cope with PL football.

Well Alajbegovic didn't do well in that World Cup game.
Bosnian_red did well to temper his excitement with the comment that he's "not ready for this league". Maybe he could be a bench player for a Brighton or Palace, but he certainly didn't give the impression of someone ready to make enough of an impact yet for a club like United, even as a rotation option.

Cunha, dorgu, mount, gabriel, mbuemo, amad, lacey....we are actually stacked numbers wise out wide and still have rashford as things stand....only way we make a big winger signing is selling and loaning half those players...and most seem unsellable.
With dorgu and cunha...lw signing doesnt even make sense. Summerville, ndiaye, pardo etc...hope we dont go down that route for £50....no improvement for me.
A diomande or barcola that can play bith flanks does....but not at possible effect on budget...not when we cant sell others.
I Still think were sleeping on mateus mane, prem proven, young, english, versatile £25-35m, ready for minutes and for me huge potential....ticks all boxes.
Balde, bouaddi, mateus mane...3 really astute signings cost under £150m...add ederson and fernandes and a striking option and thats a top window for me
