We've saved plenty of money not overpaying for midfielders. When a player like him becomes available, you have to do everything to get him. Hes the type of player you need to win the league.

We are going to struggle to buy any LW given that Rashford is back and appears more likely for reintigration than another loan or sale. Beyond that, we also have a rapidly improving Dorgu.

I think if it comes to it, we can keep loaning him out as long as the buyer pays wages. Permanent transfer is better for all parties but I wouldn't worry about the wages. Imagine just paying Rashford wage and having Vini in the squad.

There is so much scope to improve the team already without doing the usual dance with RM and getting a player with a high ceiling but late in their career and not wanting to turn in on on rainy nights in the most competitive league.

Leao is similar to Rashford and Cunha. A goalscorer who is not ideal to dribble in tight space. We will need something different.

Vini is one of the only players in the world I'd break the wage structure for, although I wouldn't give him the 500k a week I assume it would take to convince him. Prime player, best in his position, fills a massive position of need, and a lot of years left at the top.
The attitude does worry me a bit, think he acted pathetically with Alonso. Prem refs would hate him too, he'd really need to reign the simulation in. Think getting out of Spain would be good for him though, the obsession that opposition fans have with him there is very weird.
