Ole never took training neither did Phelen.

It was Carrick and McKenna following the instructions of Ole.

Phelen's role was more behind the scenes. It's no secret he wanted the Director of Football job.

Like a lot of other workplaces, I suppose. Talk shit about the boss' methods behind their back but never actually say anything to them.

So what the feck is stopping these players from telling him to change things? Why are they doing the same thing every day like robot's instead of asking for change?
In so many years if they mentioned they want a change then I guarantee you things would be changed.
How do you think they're supposed to do that? Hey, Ole, you know the guys that you're trusting to train us... they're not doing a great job...

I think the only similar example that I've seen were Bayern players going to the board complaining that Ancelotti's training wasn't hard enough, but that was already at the point of a revolt against him.

Players are there to play it’s not their job to do the training, it would be hard to speak up against the coach when you are in a squad doing training even if you think something is off, I wouldn’t blame the players.

Pogba and Ronaldo have been reported as not being happy with the coaching quality, which is no surprise given their previous clubs and national teams. Ole did nothing to improve that.

I'm not surprised. Every single footballing idea there is, we cannot do it well.

We are bad at defending/attacking set pieces, which is probably the most basic level of footballing coaching. Give Fat Sam or Steve Bruce a call for advice if you're really struggling with this. Set pieces are the sort of thing that we should be able to do in our sleep even if everyone is on their shittiest form imaginable.

We are bad at the offside trap. Give Wenger a call.

We are bad at pressing. We can try to give Pep/Klopp a call but they probably won't answer it, too bad.

David De Gea has been the exact same player he was since he was 19 with the exact same strengths and weaknesses. And he's had how many GK coaches? How does a player play 12 years at the top with no progression in his game?

Playing a high line, overlapping wingbacks etc etc. There are so many more ideas I haven't mentioned. It's a rotten standard all over the pitch.

Woodward was reported to have told Ole he could make changes to the staff after players voiced their concerns about the quality of the training sessions. Ole stood by his coaching team. That same coaching team still remains. We need a new manager to clear them out.

And part of the fanbase has turned against them. Generally players are not going to be too disruptive and hostile, they are not going to openly question the competency of the coach because it's not going to well received by the coach and the fanbase. They will talk to their agents and try to leave the club.

More excuses for the players to hide behind.
This is what I was thinking. Whatever it was it can't have been passing or running.

Whilst over at Man City Pep gets lauded for rehearsing his play book over and over on the training pitch.

Are people confident poch will bring his own team? Not sure what he has done previously when moving jobs?
Yeah he has taken the same coaching staff with him to every job.

Training bad. Players no say anything to face. Players speak to media. No change many years.
Maybe manager no create atmosphere where players can say to face? Possible poor managers and board?

So we have heard many reports of how bad McKenna, Carrick and Solskjaer are in training.

We see it every so often that the players feel Mckenna is this or McKenna is that. This has been going on for many years now.

So what the feck is stopping these players from telling him to change things? Why are they doing the same thing every day like robot's instead of asking for change?

What gives?
Most of these 'reports' are pure fabrication - 90% of whats written about our club in the media is just lies

Rangnick said it best when he pointed out that you can't be a "little bit of this and a little bit of that".

That's essentially what Ole's United were.

A little bit of press. A little bit of high line. Little bit of possession. Little bit of overlapping. A whole lot of confusion.

The manager and coaches need to figure out precisely what they are, that their vision is, and do it 100%.

Yes, we seemed to change some combination of formation / system / tactics / Playing personnel pretty much every game - no wonder the players found it difficult to get any sort of momentum

Nothing at all is stopping the players from adressing the coaches. They're all adults.

Its up to the leadership group to speak on any ongoing issues or wish from the player group as a whole to improve conditions.

These people speak to each other every single day, of course they speak about everything, all the time.

Didn't De Gea say something like "we don't know what to do with the ball" in his post Watford interview?

He said we didn't know how to defend. Pretty damning either way.

I just laugh at how we brought in an alleged set piece specialist yet we remain the only team in the league not to score a goal from a set piece, while leaking them in at the other end

The way people leak shit through their mates or agents after the firing is pretty gross tbh.

Scholes very heavily critical of McKenna, Phelan and Carrick on BT Sport. He thinks they should have walked if they were not sacked, due to being as culpable as Ole for his dismissal.

He's right. Much as I adore Carrick. What changes? Same guys taking training as a week ago. What change can we expect?

Said this the other day and got hammered. "Who else do you expect to manage the team" was the response I got. Anyone but these idiots...

He’s not wrong. He’s certainly laying into the decision to keep those 3 at the club.

But you will you have to pay them and sign them to contracts. Pointless if we are going to get a manager in soon that will want his own staff.

The only staff that will accept short-term conditions are those at a low level who will jump at the wages.

They're there till the interim is sorted. One or two games max i would hope. If they stay longer then that then criticism like Scholes's is fair game.
They should be gone as Ole is. To make a statement to the players. "This shit is not acceptable, If you're not good enough you're out..."

The Manchester United coaching staff isn't just four guys. There are dozens of them.

I know, but doesn't that make it more of an issue if you get them into contracts? They might be planning an entire clear out, but it is pointless until you have the man in charge in place because he will likely want to bring some of his own.

I agree they should be gone and hopefully soon they will be however considering our incompetent board didn't know they'd have to sack ole and have no backup plan/interim lined up, it's reasonable to have them stick around for a game or two while things get sorted.

Scholes is absolutely correct, that trio should be gone, and they will be if and when Poch moves in with his own coaching team.
What’s another £20 million or so in divesting and recruiting professional coaches?
Add in Fletcher as well.

Or leak to the press and try and force change before they feel the need to leave.

That's part of the talk to their agents, agents are generally the source not players themselves.

As they did on Moyes's method, such as the DVD. Guess what Vidic would have said? And Rio was as talkative during the DVD session?
