Don't think he needs a miracle. Its probably 1 each with 3 rounds left. He just needs to wrestle more, staying on the feet is a terrible idea because of Sandhagens reach advantage.

The result was pretty predictable in the end. In close fights, the fighter perceived as applying pressure and being on the front foot for most of the fight will always have the advantage with the judges.
Yan beats Sterling and then Dillashaw.

This is what I felt. The kinda control TJ had was so limiting in terms of what it contributed to the fight. But as you say, Judges see it very differently.
What damage did he do in the last round?

Cory outstruck TJ, but TJ had more control time (albeit against the fence and not by way of takedowns).

Based on how fights are scored, that was a definite win for TJ in my opinion, albeit it was close. If it was out on the street then you'd say it was a Cory win..
Not a robbery but I thought Cory did enough to win that. Caused more damage, had TJ rocked a couple times (I think?) And landed more shots. But TJ did push the pace and judges look at that when it's close. Maybe a draw would have been fair? Either way, good fight that was.

I see Ali still trying to somehow prevent the Makhachev (5) vs Dariush (3) fight (both his clients). That's the fight that makes sense ranking wise to keep the division moving. Gaethje (2) vs Chandler (4) should be the other one, while Dustin (1) fights the Champ.
