Banger card this weekend.

Has there been much more of a dislikable fighter in the UFC than Khamzat? Disliked many over the years but there’s just nothing likeable about him. Sadly see the result tomorrow night only going one way.

clearly Khamzat and Strickland don't like each other to the point that strickland got under his skin enough to warrant a kick attempt at the weigh in

Pretty sure they used to spar together a couple of years ago, so there's likely a bit of shared history thats ratcheting up the animosity this week.

Surely his opponent on Saturday is considerably more dislikeable?

Not seeing it. Not a huge lover of Strickland but not more dislikable than Khamzat.

He has a horrid personality, disgusting views and shit to watch fight style. There’s just nothing even remotely likeable about Khamzat even if you stripped everything away. Another guy cutting extreme weight to gain an advantage at a lower weight division.

I didn't know which guy you were talking about

Are familiar with Sean Strickland?

Yeah they're both massive dickheads, to the point that its actually put me off watching any of the build up.

As for the fight itself, I think Khamzat dominates Strickland.

believe that is right...think i saw a recent interview where strickland said they worked out in the same gym when they both first started fighting in the UFC and they sparred one time which apparently that sparring video got leaked

Its pretty obvious what's going to happen - A bit of stand up until Khamzat shoots and takes him down and starts gradually beating him into submission. Unless Strickland has a world class game plan to mitigate that, I can't see the fight going the distance.

Strickland is actually a really good grappler

Really solid card tomorrow, hope it delivers. Looking forward to Van vs Taira and the main event, also interested in the Alvarez vs Amosov match up on the prelims, think it probably should've been on the main card instead of Jeremy Stephens return (???) but at least now there's a better chance I catch it live before falling asleep.

Honestly for me, he's the most dislikable. Strickland, Covington, Jones and McGregor come close though.

As you've said, there's simply nothing even remotely entertaining or likeable about him or his style of fighting. Dull, arrogant and dislikable personality.

For someone who loves grappling, his style is a huge bore. He isn't actively trying to submit people, or inflict massive g'n'p like other big grapplers (Khabib, Islam), instead he's happy to just lay down on them like a wet blanket, slowly draining them out.

Yeah that was boring.

What happened to separating fighters after failing to do any advance or damage?
Even if the refs don't intervene then at least the judges shouldn't be awarding him rounds for that.

Kopylov with some strange decisions when being so close to finishing the fight, odd.

About to witness a murder in this next fight. Diaz, from the highlights, looks like he should be nowhere near Gautier.

Have seen him fight once or twice, so I am not in the know. What is so dislikeable about him?

This guy is so outmatched. I really don't understand how they let fighters into the UFC who can not fight on the ground.

Dominant performance by Brady, but i still think he's too small for WW division. Any of the top5 starches him, his only chance would probably be against JDM.

Jesus, Taira should of had this fight in the bag already. He doesn't do anything on the ground.

He definitely had plenty chances to do better with those positions. Next time he has to focus less on just getting the submission and more on doing some GnP, like Brady.

What a great fecking fight

What a banger fight, delivered to the hype!

These two are the present (plus Pantoja) and the future, so we will see them plenty times through the years.
